Flight Data Recorder (FDR) System

1. 
   Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), is operative,
   

2. 
   Airplane is not dispatched from a designated airport as listed in the operator’s MEL unless:
   

• 
  The FDR failure occurs after pushback but before takeoff, or
  
• 
  FDR repair was attempted but was not successful.
  

2. 
   In those cases where repair is attempted but not successful, the aircraft may be dispatched on a flight or series of flight until the next designated airport where repair must be accomplished before dispatch, and
   
3. 
   Repairs are made within three flight days.
   

1. 
   Cockpit Voice Recorder operates normally, and
   
2. 
   Repairs are made within 20 calendar days.
