Ontwikkeling van een coderingsalgoritme voor het zeer nauwkeurig positioneren van een as. Het geleverde algoritme, dat gebruik maakt van een soort streepjescode, voldoet nog beter dan verwacht werd en is inmiddels ingebouwd.

Ontwikkeling van een methode om de spanning in spaken te meten via zijdelingse indrukking. Het geleverde algoritme is inmiddels in een chip gebakken. De spaakspanningsmeter komt naar verwachting in 1995 op de markt.

Acquisitie
Met diverse bedrijven zijn gesprekken gevoerd ter voorbereiding van een mogelijk project. Sommige contacten hebben niets opgeleverd. De redenen zijn uiterst divers. Andere contacten worden nog voortgezet.

Analyse van de meetgegevens van een eierbreukdetectiesysteem.

Gedurende het contact stapte men over op een sterk gewijzigd meetsysteem.

Gebruik van technieken uit de chaostheorie bij de analyse van atmospherische gegevens.

Analyse van de efficiëntie van het koelsysteem.

Vraag naar een algoritme voor tuinontwerp-software.

Vraag naar een encryptiemethode voor de beveiliging van de communicatie tussen huurauto's en een centrale.

Dit contact heeft geleid tot een WvdI-modelleringsproject.

Vraag naar een algoritme voor datacompressie en spraakcodering.

Contractonderwijs
Er zijn dit jaar erg weinig externe cursussen georganiseerd, omdat deze markt in een diep dal zat. Voor de cursus "Computergraphics" met als docenten C.W.A.M. van Overveld en H.G. ter Morsche bleek niet genoeg belangstelling te zijn. Wel is een korte cursus "Voorraadbeheersing in de praktijk" gegeven bij Baan Info Systems te Barneveld met als docenten A.G. de Kok en L. Fortuin (Bdk).
Public Relations
Om de acitiviteiten van het IWDE, en dus de faculteit W & I, meer bekendheid te geven zijn er de volgende acties ondernomen:
