Duties: Coordinate social and leisure activities for the clientele of the Balaklava Day Care Group and the residents of Ira Parker Nursing Home. Plan and implement suitable programs that provide mental and physical stimulation in a friendly, caring and safe environment. The role of Activities Officer is to assist the clients and residents, through these activities, towards a full and purposeful life.




Essential Minimum Qualifications: Certificate III in Leisure & Health or equivalent. Working towards or be willing to attain Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or equivalent.




Special Conditions: This is a part time position working 0.7 full time equivalent and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. The position is based at Balaklava between the day care centre and Ira Parker Nursing Home. Some out of hours work may be required. Current driver's licence is essential. Current or willingness to attain Light Rigid Class driver’s licence.
