SOIL MOISTURE SENSOR

SOIL MOISTURE SENSOR

  • The Soil Moisture Sensor is used to measure the volumetric water content of soil.
  • The soil moisture sensor consists of two probes which are used to measure the volumetric content of water.
  • The two probes allow the current to pass through the soil and then it gets the resistance value to measure the moisture value.

LCD DISPLAY

  • An LCD is an electronic display module which uses liquid crystal to produce a visible image.
  • The 16×2 LCD display is a very basic module commonly used in electronic circuits.
  • The 16×2 translates o a display 16 characters per line in 2 such lines.

DHT11 SENSOR

DHT11 SENSOR

  • The DHT11 is a basic, ultra low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor.
  • It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air, and spits out a digital signal on the data pin (no analog input pins needed). 

ULTRASONIC SENSOR

ULTRASONIC SENSOR

  • Ultrasonic sensors measure distance by using ultrasonic waves.
  • The sensor head emits an ultrasonic wave and receives the wave reflected back from the target.
  • Ultrasonic sound vibrates at a frequency above the range of human hearing.
  • Transducers are the microphones used to receive and send the ultrasonic sound.

USB CAMERA

USB CAMERA

  • A USB webcam is a camera that connects to a computer, usually through plugging it in to a USB port on the machine.
  • The video is fed to the computer where a software application lets you view the pictures and also transfer them to the Internet.

IMPLEMENTATION

IMPLEMENTATION

  • This project is smart irrigation as well as monitoring of crop field using Raspberry pi.
  • In this project sensors like DHT11, Ultrasonic Sensor, Soil Moisture Sensor, Soil pH Sensor are used. In addition to that USB camera and Buzzer also used in this system
  • This system monitors the weather, pH level of the soil and objects which is entered in to the field.
  • It provides automatic irrigation to the Farming Land

RASPBERRY PI IMPLEMENTATION
  • In this we will learn how to get the Raspberry Pi up and running.
  • Using languages such as Python and C++, the Raspberry Pi can control external circuits while interacting with the internet simultaneously
