Post Denmark, Copenhagen, announces that the Bureaufax Service in Denmark will cease to operate on 1 July 2000*.

New telephone numbering plan
Armenia Telephone Company (ArmenTel), Yerevan, announces that the area codes of Armenia will be changed on 14 July 2000 at 1900 hours UTC (15 July 2000 at 0000 hours, local time). The new telephone numbering plan will be as indicated below.

 General information

Country code of the Republic of Armenia is +374.

Note: From the countries of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), old destination code for Armenia 885 remains valid until 31 December 2000.

 Telephone numbering plan

Dialling format: CC+N(S)N where:

CC is the Country Code

N(S)N is the national (significant) number. The N(S)N consists of the national destination code (NDC) and the subscriber number (SN).

The NDC consists of the area code (AC) and additional digits (AD) 0 or 00 (if required).

The N(S)N consists of seven digits.

The additional digits (AD), 0 or 00, are being used in order to have national (significant) numbers of seven digits.
