Recommendations
Based on the results of the field data, the following suggestions on grey areas for action are offered
(a) Legislation awareness
The Environmental Management and Protection Law of March 2017 did state that the waste management authority shall be responsible for the arrangement of recycling plans, which includes specifying how wastes can be handled byway of separation, and packaging for the purposes of recycling but it is not stated how the source separation would be carried out in households. It is somewhat vague, and it is doubtful if the people have a public awareness of the law. It is recommended that this law be made available to the public for reading and interpreted to the residents by legal or environmental experts so that they properly understand their roles.
