Association for Science in Autism Treatment (ASAT): Not-for-profit organization of parents and professionals committed to improving the education, treatment, and care of people with autism.
Autism National Committee: Autism National Committee is the only autism advocacy organization dedicated to "Social Justice for All Citizens with Autism" through a shared vision and a commitment to positive approaches. The organization was founded in 1990 to protect and advance the human rights and civil rights of all persons with autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, and related differences of communication and behavior.
Autism Research Institute (ARI): Founded in 1967 by Dr. Bernard Rimland, ARI conducts and fosters scientific research designed to improve the methods of diagnosing, treating, and preventing autism. ARI also disseminates research findings to parents and others worldwide seeking help. One of ARI's primary projects, DAN! conferences which is sharing information and ideas toward defeating autism as quickly as possible.
Autism Society of America (ASA):ASA exists to improve the lives of all affected by autism. They do this by increasing public awareness about the day-to-day issues faced by people on the spectrum, advocating for appropriate services for individuals across the lifespan, and providing the latest information regarding treatment, education, research and advocacy.
Families for Early Autism Treatment (FEAT):FEAT is a non-profit organization of parents, educators, and other professionals dedicated to providing Education, Advocacy and Support for the Northern California Autism Community.
Generation Rescue: Generation Rescue was formed in 2005 by parents of children who have been diagnosed with childhood neurological disorders including autism, ADHD and other learning disabilities. Their belief is that most of these conditions are environmental illnesses that can be treated through biomedical intervention.
International Autism Organizations: Worldwide there are thousands of autism organizations offering information, resources and services. Autism Speaks would like to acknowledge Action for Autism for their hard work in organizing this list, and thank them for sharing this important tool with us and the global community.
International Mental Health Research Organization: Leading brain science for a better world. The IMHRO is a leading mental health charity committed to supporting research to help people with brain diseases, and ultimately find cures for schizophrenia, depression and bipolar disorder.
National Association Of Residential Providers for Adults with Autism: The United Voice of the Autism Residential Services Community. Lists member agencies and courses. Goals are to promote best practices and quality standards through training, open access to underserved populations, exchange information members and partners to promote efficiency and effectiveness.
National Autism Association (NAA):NAA's mission is to educate and empower families affected by autism and other neurological disorders, while advocating on behalf of those who cannot fight for their own rights. They aim to educate society that autism is not a lifelong incurable genetic disorder but one that is biomedically definable and treatable. Their efforts include raising public and professional awareness of environmental toxins as causative factors in neurological damage that often results in an autism or related diagnosis.
Organization for Autism Research (OAR):OAR was created in 2001 by parents and grandparents who shared a common belief that applied research would answer the questions that parents, families, individuals with autism, teachers and caregivers confront daily. No other autism organization has this singular focus.

Talk About Curing Autism (TACA):TACA provides information, resources, and support to families affected by autism. For families who have just received the autism diagnosis, TACA aims to speed up the cycle time from the autism diagnosis to effective treatments. TACA helps to strengthen the autism community by connecting families and the professionals who can help them.
Train4Autism:Train4Autism is a foundation dedicated to bringing together a community of athletes, physically-active, and socially conscious people who are committed to raising awareness and funds for research and treatment for those living with autism and their families.
Families of Adults Afflicted with Asperger's Syndrome FAAAS, Inc. Offers autism resources links and support to adults with Asperger's Syndrome and their families, raising awareness of this neurological disorder and its effect on the "whole" family to the medical communities who are directly or indirectly involved.
GRASP or Global and Regional Asperger Syndrome Partnership, Inc.: is an educational and advocacy organization for individuals with autism spectrum disorders offering information and autism resources.
Online Asperger Syndrome Information and Support The OASIS: site offers information, autism resources and supports to individuals with Asperger Syndrome and their families.
A-CHAMP (Advocates for Children's Health Affected by Mercury Poisoning) is a national, non-partisan parent-led organization in support of children with neurodevelopmental and communication disorders, dedicated to advancing public policy issues affecting our children, protecting their human and civil rights, educating the public and media, sharing our goals with state and federal officials, and holding accountable those in government who do not act in the best interest of our children.
AGRE The Autism Genetic Resource Exchange is the first autism gene bank of more than one person in a family affected by autism to be established for autism research.
Autism National Committee encourages its members and partners toward self-direction and self-empowerment, welcoming the participation of family members, people with autism/PDD and other friends who wish to fulfill, not debate, the right to self-determination by hearing and heeding the voices of people with autism, providing information, support, networking, advocacy, a strong voice in federal legislation and policy, a newsletter, conferences and trainings, and a reappraisal of research and treatment issues in light of what people with autism themselves find meaningful and respectful.
Autism Network International ANI is the first autistic-run self-help advocacy organization, publishing a newsletter, arranges pen pals and other activities. ANI runs a private online membership mailing list, ANI-L. Family members are welcome to participate, as long as the ANI-L list policies are followed. Autism Network Resources for Physicians is an autism resource site listing links to autism research and related sites of interest to physicians to assist the medical community in their efforts to understand autism and study treatment options.
Autism Research Institute ARI offers complete information, autism resources, Defeat Autism Now! or DAN! protocol, treatment options, news, and publishes the quarterly newsletter, Autism Research Review International. Autism Society of America ASA is dedicated to autism advocacy and awareness, support (for persons with autism, their families, and professionals that work with them), and provides information about autism to the public.
Autism Society of Indiana ASI is a state chapter of the Autism Society of America (ASA). ASI is actively looking for participants from Indiana's African American community.
Autism Solution Center, Inc. (ASC) is a non-profit organization developed to address an unmet, ongoing need for autism therapy, support services, research and other assistance. There is currently no facility in existence that addresses all of the autism-related issues proposed by the Autism Solution Center, Inc., under one roof and at no cost.
Autism Speaks obtains funding for biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society. Cure Autism Now (CAN) recently joined with Autism Speaks to become Autism Speaks, Inc.
Autism Tissue Program The focus of brain research is the child or adult with an autism spectrum disorder. If parents, or grandparents, wish to donate we require participation by the whole family. In these cases, donations from relatives of a person with autism are archived for future research.
Disorders CARD offers free services to children and adults in the state of Florida with autism spectrum disorders, providing individualized, direct assistance to these individuals and their families. Services include technical assistance, consultation, training programs and public education activities.

Healing Thresholds Autism Therapy is a free website and newsletter providing comprehensive therapy fact sheets, daily updates of autism therapy, research and a global directory of autism-related therapists and services.
National Autism Association NAA believes and raises public and professional awareness of environmental toxins as causative factors in neurological damage that often results in an autism or related diagnosis, and provides funding for appropriate research to find a cure for the neurological damage from which so many affected by autism suffer.
National Autistic Society exists to champion the rights and interests of all people with autism and to ensure that they and their families receive quality services appropriate to their needs. The website includes information about autism and Asperger syndrome, the NAS and its services and activities.
Organization for Autism Research OAR, founded by parents, uses applied science to answer questions that parents, families, individuals with autism, teachers and caregivers confront daily. No other autism organization has this singular focus. OAR publishes a monthly newsletter, The OARacle. OAR also publishes Life Journey Through Autism: A Parent's Guide to Autism Research, Life Journey Through Autism: An Educator's Guide and Life Journey Through Autism: an educator's guide to Asperger syndrome, available free of charge to individuals and families.
