The Market is held every Saturday, from 9 a.m. - noon in Penn Eben Park. The Market features local growers and their produce, as well as, other homemade goodies.

The Alburtis Lockridge Historical Society has displays and photographs of our local history. During the open house we will also offer a tour of the Thomas Iron Works at Lock Ridge. The tours will be offered at noon and 3:00 pm, weather pending. Please wear comfortable shoes. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free, but donations always appreciated.

The popular Historic Bethlehem Dessert Tent will once again feature homemade blueberry pies, delicious strudel, coffee cake and creamy all-natural vanilla ice cream swirled with blueberry variegate—made exclusively for the Blueberry Festival. Live music and local group performances will be sure to offer something for everyone in the family.

A summer tradition returns as we count the butterflies flying through our fields. Become a citizen-scientist while learning the life histories of monarchs, swallowtails, and cabbage whites. The data we collect will go into our 50th anniversary time capsule. Butterfly watchers of all levels welcome, especially beginners.

How does art that idealizes nature change the way we see the world? University of the Arts lecturer Cristine Larson will talk about nature in art. She’ll start with 17th – 19th century romantic art then consider a 21st century aesthetic of nature. We’ll go outside and make our own art.

Learn to use plants to produce natural dyes. Elissa Meyers and Mira Adornetto of BLUEREDYELLOW will lead a two-part workshop about natural dyeing. The series starts with a hike to collect plants. On day two we’ll talk about the history of these plants and dye fabrics with the collected material. Bring a lunch on Saturday. Pre- registration required.
