“Discover the New American Dream” is one of the themes filmgoers will be considering at the Anthem Libertarian Film Festival, held at the Sin City Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, July 8-11. What makes a film “libertarian”? It’s not about overthrowing the government, and it’s not about the Tea Party. Libertarian films are about choice, opportunity, and knocking down obstacles. They demonstrate the power of persuasion over the force of authority.

Join us for some “dirty” family-friendly fun. There are contests for all ages, mud races, a Wreck-the-Dress ATV Poker Run, and an ATV obstacle course. The event kicks off with a Block Party and torchlit ATV parade in downtown Berlin. There’s music, food, a beer tent, and fun all weekend long.

This is an inclusive show attracting not only button collectors but also jewelry makers, crafters, quilters and other creative specialists who find great beauty, history and utility in these miniature works of art. The show will offer access to over 50 dealers and incredible displays of buttons that most people have never seen plus numerous workshops and special events featuring informative and entertaining presentations of various types of buttons, their history, usage and sometimes odd characteristics. It is estimated that nearly 500,000 buttons will be available for public viewing.

A fast and fun 5k road race through scenic Hillsboro, NH. The race starts at the same time balloons lift off. Be sure to bring your entire family to support you during the race and to enjoy the Friday night carnival, balloon lift off, and balloon glow events.

There is nothing better than a warm summer day at the Seacoast Growers Association Farmers’ Market with a live acoustic music performance on site. This year’s Farmers’ Market Acoustic Series will have performances from some of the Seacoast finest up-and-coming performers and while you’re listening browse the local produce.

This year the Shark in the Park will be at the Cochecho Arts Festival for the 13th straight year. Back will be a line up of the Seacoast’s best classic rock bands. Spend Wednesday night with 102.1 & 105.3 The Shark.

A live music series on Tuesday evenings through August 25, 2015 on the lawn sheltered by the Tyco Visitors Center. Food and beverages, including beer and wine are available. Free admission thanks to sponsorship from a Museum friend and Cambridge Trust Company of New Hampshire. Tour the grounds and gardens of the Museum after the music.

The exhibit showcases games and game artifacts – including an ivory scrimshaw cribbage board, histories, photos and diaries give depth to the exhibit’s examination of the games played, specific sites used and the personalities who created distinctive elements of common play.
