Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, was a founding member of the National Woman Suffrage Association and co-edited the first three volumes of the six-volume "The History of Woman Suffrage". Gage was a supporter of women's rights throughout her life. This event is sponsored by the LCHS in recognition of Women's Equality Day, celebrated yearly on August 26.
