Experience the magic of autumn in northern Michigan at the Apple Fest. Enjoy over 30 varieties of apples, hot food and fresh cider. Activities include an art & craft show, face painting, petting zoo, family fun run and more. So, bundle up and bring the family to our autumn bonanza. The harvest is in.

Mid-America's premier sawyer, Thom Eno, hosts a gathering of sawyers from around the world...well, they are all invited. Learn to play the musical saw or sit back and listen to the chorus of saws in utter amazement. Bring your own saw or purchase one at the event.

Join us for stories, music, food and fun as storytellers from the tri-state area gather at the Hormel Historic Home for dinner and a show Friday evening, and dialogue and Open Mic sessions on Saturday morning. For more information, call 507-433-4243.

The Mankato River Ramble embraces the best of both bicycling worlds — off-road paved trails and quiet country roads. Riders can choose a scenic route of 12, 26, 42 or 50 miles. The 12-mile Minneopa Falls Loop will visit the beautiful state park. The 26-mile “Pie Run” takes riders over the river and through the woods to reach the Rapidan Dam Rest Stop where you find an array of award winning pies.

Art Show’s mission is to create a venue for local and regional artists to display, sell their artwork, and to provide a fun family event for the community. Please put the date on your calendar to visit the art show and support the artist by your presence.

AKS Gem Shows is a bead & jewelry show open to the public featuring jewelry, beads, beading supplies, pearls, findings, classes, and more. Show hours are 10 till 5 Fri & Sat, 10 till 4 Sunday.

Starting with “Balloon Glow” Friday night, and continuing through Sunday afternoon, the Great Mississippi River Balloon Race is the most colorful event in Natchez, with gorgeous hot air balloons filling the skies over the Mississippi River as local and national talent fill the air with live music at Rosalie Gardens.

TTTT is a 50 + mile yard sale in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. This two day event is held on the first Friday and Saturday in October. People can set-up to sale, or drop-by to buy. Either way, it is two fun-filled days of buying and selling. Designated set- up areas are available on a first come-first serve basis.

There will be a Purses With A Purpose" silent auction where one can bid on new and slightly used purses. All proceeds go to the scholarship fund. Event - Election of Officers."

Some of the area's finest quilters and crafters will be featured at the Quilt and Craft Market sponsored by the Mountain Brook Craft Cooperative. Handcrafted items will include a large number of hand- and machine-quilted quilts, fine art, crafts for the kitchen, knitted and quilted accessories, bags and totes, holiday and home decor and gifts. Open 10 am to 6 pm Friday and 10 am to 5 pm Saturday.

Join in or just watch how wild game is taken care of, sliced and dryed on an open outdoor rack. Visit with tribal hunters and elders about the traditions of properly caring for wild game and traditional practices of storage.

This Halloween-themed, family friendly event features a Zombie ATV Poker Run, a rock climbing wall, bouncy house, bungee trampoline, hayrides, petting zoo, duck race, 5-K race, Halloween costume parade, music and food. At dusk, the Androscoggin River is aglow with jack-o-lanterns and the spectacular RiverFire lighting ceremony.

Back in its seventh year is our Apple Harvest Day 5K which kicks off Dover's largest community event, Apple Harvest Day. Race through Dover and then head into the Festival-a perfect fall day.

Strawbery Banke’s famous not-too-scary Halloween celebration for young children. Costumes encouraged. Long-dead sea captains, 17th century shopkeepers and wayward pirates haunt the streets of Portsmouth’s oldest neighborhood as you trick or treat safely from house to historic house.
