Analysis
Positives: Has a quick release and a sharp burst off the line of scrimmage...Runs precise routes and is very crisp in and out of his breaks...Effective coming back for the ball when the quarterback is in trouble...Shows the separation acceleration needed on short routes...Makes proper body adjustments and shows good leaping ability to snatch the ball at its high point...Natural hands catcher who shows classic arm extension going for the ball...Adequate blocker who gives solid effort...Has good lateral agility and appears very comfortable operating in the slot, doing a nice job on crossing patterns, post corners and curls...Tracks the ball in nicely over his shoulders and is quick to turn and run up field after the catch...Play maker who wants the ball in the clutch.
Negatives: One-speed runner who lacks the sudden explosiveness to be considered a deep threat...Physical blocker, but lacks the strength to consistently combat for the ball in traffic...Runs precise short area patterns, but will round his cuts on deep routes...Has natural hands, but does not always maintain concentration on the ball, resulting in several dropped easy passes...Lacks the second gear needed to elude in the open...Not afraid to deliver the crack block, but does not have the strength to neutralize linebackers working in space.
