Analysis
Positives: Lean, quick receiver with above average speed, balance and agility...Has some shiftiness to avoid defenders working in space...Shows good pad drop and knee bend out of his cuts...Maintains concentration going for the ball and the natural hands to make the difficult grab...Makes proper body adjustments to track the ball in flight...Times his jumps perfectly to get to the ball at its high point.
Negatives: Product of the team's passing system...Small boned and may not have the frame to add needed weight...Takes well to hard coaching, but needs to be pushed in the weight room, at times...Has only an adequate release, needing ground to gain speed and lacks the deep second level acceleration (more of a glider)...Not a threat to break tackles and lacks effort and toughness to block on the perimeter...Uses his body to catch at times and his playing speed is inconsistent (does not show suddenness out of his cuts or sharpness with deep-&-out cuts)...Tends to complain about minor injuries.

Minnesota-Crookston...Began the year with 6 catches for 87 yards and scores of 14 & 23 yards, adding 51 yards on 3 punt returns.
