Note: <888> 10/16/12 Tuesday 7:15 A.M. I woke up because, I could not sleep. I ate a bowl of Lays salt and vinegar potato chips. In the old days, I used to say that, "Greenwich, Connecticut was full of cheap vinegar Yankees." I guess much the same still applies. My computer talents have never been worth anything around here, particularly since I smoke cigarettes and am frequently on a night schedule. Last night I noticed quite a few people smoking cigarettes downtown, so possibly I might have some new friends in the area. I will have to wait over time to see if any of them know how to communicate with me. Anyway, I have been hoping to quit smoking after election day, no matter whom wins. Frequently in the past when I have tried to quit smoking disasters happen. I was trying to quit smoking on "911". I personally do not think it is healthy, but it does reduce stress. I noticed in the Class of 1969 at the The Taft School , somebody gave $3 million to the Capital fund, but it does not say whom. I might know the person, since I was in the class of 1968. CIO

I then ran without the parenthesis "sfc /scannow" . I left it run, and it authenticates the system files, and it repairs those that it can repair if needed. I ran it on both partitions on the primary work computer, and the FIC server also. The systems seem a bit more responsive with the repairs. Also when I rebooted and ran "CCleaner", it seemed to clean a lot files out of the Internet Explorer cache that had not been cleared out before. CIO

Note: <888> 10/14/12 Sunday 4:30 A.M. I made my bed. Well, I am still awake at night. In the old days, when I could afford to visit nearby Manhattan, there were always a few people awake at night. However, nobody talks too much in Manhattan, they just seem to listen to canned music all of the time in the public pubs. Of course, one could always read a book out here in the suburbs, and I am sure there are plenty to read at the Greenwich Library: Welcome . Still with all of the content on the internet, there might be something worth reading off the internet. I no longer have the 500 books in my apartment. I threw them away along with all of my music LP albums a number of years ago. I guess I am so focused on computers and the internet, I lost track of whatever the general public think about which is probably money, particularly if one does not have any. I use the computer and internet to shop mostly for inexpensive items, since the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop and the other local thrift shops frequently do not have what I might need. With the price of gasoline Greenwich Gas Prices – Find Greenwich, Connecticut Gas Stations and Cheap Gas in CT at Automobile Magazine , one can not afford to explore other nearby areas that might offer some sort of distraction. Well according to Tides.INFO: Ocean and river tide predictions for Cos Cob Harbor, off Goose Island, Connecticut Current , the sun will rise at 7:05 A.M.. Of course out here in the country, people tend to sleep late on Sundays. I really do not have too much computer work to do, since my existing computer equipment is running just fine, and I do not intend to spend anymore money to upgrade any of it. I find it rather amusing nobody knows how to communicate, so more than likely they are waiting for their televisions to make its first move, before they have any original ideas.

Note: <888> 10/13/12 Saturday 12:50 A.M. I went downtown, and it was not very busy. I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I sat out at various locations. There was nothing unusual to report. After my walk, I drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road. They are still remodeling the office building at 600 Steamboat Road. Russ Reynolds and Associates has rented space there. There was not much pub activity downtown. There were still a few fishermen on the Steamboat Road pier, and it looked like they were still catching fish. I then returned back home. It seems to be all quiet in remote desolate area of lesser southwestern Connecticut near the New Amsterdam border. The New Amsterdam colony still keeps a "Dutch Night Watch". Once it gets colder, we still have the "Freezing Norwegian Patrol". Current temperature at the Westchester County Airport at this hour is 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Note: <888> 10/12/12 Friday 2:25 A.M. I chatted with a local security agency.
