There are two separate categories of AS-Fixed namely Standard (ASF-STD) and AS-Fixed Group (ASF-GROUP). The standard AS-Fixed SKUs only can be ordered in quantities of one. An AS-Fixed standard SKU order with quantity greater than one will be rejected. AS-Fixed Group SKUs can be ordered in quantities greater than one.
USCC and Terms and Content Subscription Services Ordering provide licensing for software and subscription terms.
A brief explanation of terms relevant to the service follows.
Perpetual License for Software
Traditional Software Point Product Sale with a Perpetual License that does not expire and has infinite life. Customer purchases the right to use a specific software license on a perpetual basis.
Example: IOS, Unity exchange, Call Manager
Upgrade Subscription
Provides the right to receive software version upgrades to a software product for a given term (for example, 1 year, 3 year, 5 year)
Example: Unified Communications Software Subscription (UCSS) sold with Cisco Unified Communication Products such as Unified Communications Manager, Unified Messaging, and Unified Contact Center.
Term Subscription
Duration/Time-based license that expires at the end of specified time period or term. Use of the product beyond the term is a violation of legal terms. User must either renew or purchase new licenses to continue use.
Example: Future term based CUWL licensing, WebEx
Content Subscription
Provides data/content updates to maintain the functionality of a software product, such as signature files.
Example: IronPort email and Web Security, Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), Intrusion Protection System (IPS)
Partners can specify the PAK delivery quantity preference for the subscription SKUs via a new attribute LicenseKeysRequested that can have values of “Single” or “Multiple”.
Participation in the service is optional, as evidenced by a cardinality value of 0..1 in the table that follows.

Note – The contract start date, contract duration and contract end date are specified in the same format as for Service SKU’s. However, for subscription, in case there is no duration specified on the order request, then system defaults the duration and continues order processing. Also, if no start date is provided on the order for subscription SKU’s then the associated line level requested ship date will be used. If requested ship date is also not found, current date is used as the contract start date.
Note- Subscription SKU’s are not allowed on Stocking orders.
