3.2.3 Data coding and processing All the answers to the thirteen (13) multiple choice questions were represented with alphabets. The responses from the respondents were then coded with numeric values on a scale of 1-7 while the different responses (qualitative data) from the four (4) structured questions were first represented with alphabets before being coded with numeric values on a scale of 1-5 to make quantitative data entry on excel workbook easy to analyse. This process was adopted for the six (6) LCDAs to obtain an array of data for the generation of a frequency table which shows how many times a particular response occurred and its percentage relative to the total number of respondents. This makes data analysis and presentation a lot easier.
