The Great Brook Officials Association was established to provide training and development opportunities for those looking to participate in the game of hockey as an on ice official. We have been doing it for a long time! We have been providing our summer referee training camps (RTC) for 4 years now. We have partnered with Tritown Ice Arena in Hooksett NH who graciously provides the ice time for each of our sessions. We also partner with Radius Edge Power Skating who provides the on ice skating drills for each of our camps. Our instructors come from many facets of the hockey officiating community. We have full time referees from the North American and NA3 leagues, officials from the American Hockey League (AHL), as well as Division 1 college leagues such as Hockey East, ECAC, and Atlantic Hockey. All of these instructors come for the sole purpose of helping new and younger officials achieve their dreams. Many of these instructors got their start with Great Brook! We hope you will find a camp that will meet your needs and your schedule and we look forward to seeing you on the ice and hopefully become a part of the Great Brook family.
All of these instructors come for the sole purpose of helping new and younger officials achieve their dreams.”

Yours Truly,

Christopher Rousseau, Chief Operations Officer

Basic Referee Training Camp

Dates/times: June 2015

Week One - 6/2 – 6-9pm, 6/4 – 830-930pm

Week Two - 6/9 – 640-840pm, 6/11 – 6-9pm

Locations: Pembroke and Hooksett

Cost: $100.00 per student
Attendance is required at ALL class days to receive full credit for course instruction. Classroom sessions are held at our Pembroke Classroom. Ice sessions are located at Tritown Arena which is located approximately 8 minutes from our Pembroke Classroom.
The BASIC RTC offers two nights of classroom training followed by 2 nights of on ice skills sessions. Students will cover all material that is contained within the USA Hockey BASIC officiating manual. On ice drills will emphasize those learning objectives as well as provide power skating drills specific for use as an on ice official.
This camp also includes opportunities for students to participate in our summer 3 on 3 leagues as an official with a shadow who will skate with them and guide them through the game. This allows students to get experience without affecting the outcome of the game. This is a unique opportunity that Great Brook has become well known for.
New students who pay for and attend the BASIC RTC will be given the opportunity to join GBOA and have the first season’s association fee waived, a camp polo shirt, and referee whistle
Registration is completed online and payments are accepted thru PayPal. Camp includes a development camp T-shirt.
