9442 1890-1900 Australian Horse officer's 'undress' sword waist belt & sling. Belt of khaki web with leather (tan) reinforcements & gilt brass fittings. Slings of dark green leather ('Morocco leather') with gilt brass buckles & studs. No maker marks or stampings evident. Exc. Scarce cavalry undress belt & slings as issued to AH. $300 $400

9443 1899-1902 Boer War leather ammunition bandolier. Pattern 1882 leather equipment . Reputedly used by 413 Tpr H Merchant C Coy 2nd Australian Commonwealth Horse. "A.C" partially visible. One flap is torn but intact. Scarce piece in good condition. GVF $500 $750

9444 1914-18 A scarce Great War Military Bugle. Made by "Henry Potter & Co. London 1910. Also stamped "2nd-MD CMF 12-12" (issue dates 12/12). Scratched around the flared end "T.S.B.371 A I 9 AIF" (Australian Infantry 9 = Eg 9th BTN ?) Has mouth piece. O/A dents as usual. Average condition. Scarce. $400 $600

9445 1914-18 Pattern 1908 Leather equipment holster. Light coloured leather. Applied number to rear strap. (marked C.G.H.F. Australia). Extremely scarce.. GC $100 $150

9446 1914-18 Holster (Case) open top MKIII. As used with the 1908 pattern equipment for Warrant Officers.. Brown leather (worn). Has leather pistol retaining strap. Rear belt loops both removed & slits cut into back to accommodate both the waist belt and a vertical shoulder strap. C/w cleaning rod. Leather good, polished through wear. Often closely associated with the famed Light Horse. Fair condition. Hard to find. $80 $120

9447 1914-18 An original "D" shaped mess tin, 1916 dated with reproduction canvas cover. Mess tin has been cleaned up and has lost most of the stamp details of the maker. However, 1916 is still readable. The cover has a stamp "C.R. Henschke - Adelaide maker - copy - 1916". Made for the re-enactor market. GC $80 $120

9448 1914-18 Scarce Western Front trench periscope. Marked NO 9 MKII BY ADAMS & CO 1918. Khaki painted plywood outer with twin set mirrors. Folds in half for storage. Ground stake on lower half. Period repaint. Storage bag not present. Nice clean example in GC $400 $600

9449 1915 Australian pattern 1908/15 leather ammunition carrier pair. Each of 5 pockets with press-stud closer. Mid-brown leather. Both with "Australia/CGHF" stamps & 2 unit stamps: "I.FCE" & "35 I.B" matched pair, but only one with unit markings. Complete. Scarce matched set. $400 $550

9450 1939-45 Army service box respirator (GAS MASK). Dated 1942. Black rubber mask with black rubber tube & brown filter canister, c/w MK7 canvas satchel bag. Becoming hard to find. Service used condition. gVF $100 $150

9454 1858 French Guard Cuirassier (or Heavy Lancer, Garde Imperiale) Trooper's Breast Plate & back Plate, Model 1858 (ca 1858-1867). Iron with brass overlay to front & back. Domed brass rivets. Leather backed brass shoulder chains with plate-brass finials. Large pressed tin Starburst Plaque to front with brass Imperial eagle & wreath overlay plaque. On a wooden display frame/support. Repairs, some adjustment to studs for display purposes. Overall VGC & most impressive $3000 $4000

9455 1939-45 WWII Service issue gas mask. Complete in paper mache container. Made by ASSAYE & complete with all straps & buckles. Rubber is soft & supple. A great example of type. VGC $75 $150

GERMANY

9456 Imperial Prussia: 1912-18 Superb 2nd Garde Kurassier Regiment cuirass & back plate. Officer/Senior NCO iron, with tombak shoulder scales bearing lion head (rear) & floreate (front) terminals. Brown leather waist belt & brass buckle fastening. Commemorative plaque added to front 1712-1912, in silvered copper. Some adjustment to side-studs for display purposes. On a wooden frame/support. Some restoration. VGC. Rare. (P) $3500 $4500

9457 Imperial Prussia: 1914-18 Bugle, Prussian Dragoons. Brass body & mouthpiece, nickel mounted mouth piece plug & around bugle mouth. Large brass disc bearing Prussian Dragoon pattern edge set near bugle mouth. Complete with 2 rings for suspension cord. Usual minor denting. VGC. Scarce. $350 $500

9458 Imperial, model 1887 cartridge box for Infantry. Dated 1888 & unit stamped to the 122nd Infantry Regiment ("122.R.") (= Fusilier-Reg't "Kaiser Franz Joseph von Osterreich" - 4th Wurttemberg, Nr 122 - Part of XIII Armee Korps) by C F Baier. Dark-brown leather, internally divided with oilcloth partitions for individual rounds. Brass studs & 'D' ring. Leather sound. Minor surface scuff. $150 $250

9459 1890's Medical training sling. With illustrations of the various medical applications of the sling & positions appropriate for the human body. Light linen (cotton) with black line drawings. "Der Erlte Verband". Lovely medical curio would look magnificent framed or in situ on a uniformed dummy. VGC $50 $75

9460 1911 Dated black leather P08 Luger Holster. O/a age crazing to the leather, one rear belt loop completely separated from the holster. (Placed inside the holster). Has maker's stamp. Ink stamp of a Bavarian regiment& the 1911date both inside the flap. Fair condition $200 $300

9461 1914-18 Scarce Infantry Range Finder. Type utilised mainly by Machine Gun Units. "Entfernungsmesser 14, Nr 108" by Karl Zeiss, Jena. Comp with leather-bound rubber end pads & spring-loaded leather & rubber eyepiece cover. Blackened iron designation plate bearing large letter "K" & maker/model details. Brass, iron & aluminium body with canvas covering. Much wear overall and damage to leather fittings. Minor rust & corrosion. Optics A/F. Overall GC. Scarce. $600 $800

9462 1914-18 Fernglass '08 (Binoculars). Maker "EMIL BUSCH". Field grey painted finish, majority now worn off the brass sections of the binoculars. Brown bakelite eye pieces. Clear, working optics. No neck strap or case. Classic Imperial German army equipment. GC $120 $200

9463 1939-45 Army waist belt & plate. A superb combat example, light brown inner face, rough finish exterior face. Aluminium belt hook. Tab stamped with Ludenscheid maker, buckle end "110". Bright aluminium 2x piece Army plate (bend-tab fastening for centre device). VGC. Good large size with sound leather. $200 $250

9464 1939-45 Army waist belt & plate. Black leather face, brown inner, size 115. Aluminium plate in 1x piece striking (by "RS&S") with remnants of khaki paint finish & on its leather tab dated 1936. Sadly, a repaired tear to rear of belt, otherwise stout & fine condition complete with aluminium tip-end hook. VGC. $150 $250

9465 1938 Sturmabteilung (SA) Enlisted Man's waist belt & plate. Dated 1938, by Schmidt, Berlin. Size 105. Brown un-dyed leather. Brass plate with silvered brass SA/Political central disc. Aluminium tip-end hook. Complete & very little wear/usage evident. Quite a large size. Minor silver plate wear. Exc. A good, solid belt. $250 $300

9466 1939-45 Luftwaffe ground troops combat belt. Well-oiled, dark brown/black leather, complete & with iron plate hook. Belt plate in 1x piece, plain iron (retaining dark paint finish to interior). Belt tip-end stamped "90". Minor stitch wear. Overall service wear. VGC. $200 $250

9467 1939-45 Gasmask, civilian Luftschutz type. RL1-38/3. New Un-issued condition with "Auer" marked canister (Carry can, fluted sides). Size 2 rubberised canvas mask with May 1939 stamp marked filter canister. Large waffenamt style ink stamp. Spare lenses in lid of carry container. Light weight stamps all intact. Hard to upgrade on this example. Punched stamp information on lid - "Vertrieb gemass Luftschutz- gesetz genehmigt". VGC $140 $200

GREAT BRITAIN

9468 ca 1870. late Victorian Horse Guards Trooper's Breast & back plates. Iron with brass trim & domed rivets. Brass shoulder scales with white metal Lion Head terminals to front & rear, iron studs. Lined with red Morocco leather (evidence of silk or velvet trim). Has been coated with lacquer, now yellowing with age. Iron with toning, small areas of minor pit. Overall VGC & most impressive $2000 $2500

9469 ca 1890-1900 Sam Browne officer's belt equipment set. Very early set in brown leather with mainly nickled or solid nickel fittings. Comprises main waist belt with broad cross-strap (provision for a second) supporting: large size sword frog (perhaps a Mountain Artillery sword or similar, solid nickel fittings); small size revolver flapped holster (with a custom cut-out to facilitate access to trigger). Unusual pattern of belt. Leather sound but scuffed & requires dressing. A small strap with buckle for cross-strap being a later, 1916 dated, replacement. VGC. Scarce. $400 $500

9470 ca 1920 Royal Navy admiral's full dress sword waist belt with hangers. Large gilt brass belt plate for flag officers (King's crown over fouled anchor within wreath, the whole surrounded by a larger wreath of laurel). Black Morocco leather backed belt & slings with bullion embroidered oak leaves & acorns. Gilt brass floreate sling buckles & sword clips. Minor scuff. Exc. Condition. Very scarce to flag officers. Impressive. $300 $400
ITALY

9471 1939-45 Royal Italian Air Force officer's dress brocade waist belt. White leather backed grey silk & gold bullion, gilt fittings. Gilt belt plate bearing eagle on lightning rod, within wreath, Royal crown above. VGC. $250 $400

JAPAN

9472 1939-45 Collection of Japanese equipment. Water bottle with cover & field strap, OR's type with alloy cap. Next is an Officer's tank goggle pouch. Quality brown leather pouch with press stud featuring Jap. Star belt loop to the rear. Small Jap. Flag 10"x12" signed, has a hole to 4 sides (burn/bullet when folded). Still a nice example. Finally is a set of Japanese puttees, full length, complete with straps. Hard to find. VG. $200 $300

9473 1939-45 Imperial Japanese army collectables. Officer's Sash/Belt. Red & White stripes with 2 large tassels (seldom encountered), Japanese WWII Combat officer's leather belt pouch. Possibly for an officer's note book etc. Also included is an officer's water bottle with aluminum screw top cap, no cover, a small Japanese wooden container for eating utensils or medical equipment., size is 6 1/2"x2", screws in half & has some Japanese writing on one side. Interesting lot. VG. $250 $350

9474 1939-45 Japanese army saddle bags. Heavy duty quality leather with reinforced stitching & complete with all Buckles. Scarce item. F. $100 $200

9475 1939-45 Imperial Japanese Army Issue Bugle, Infantry "Battalion" pattern, brass with brown bakelite mouthpiece, no markings evident, used widely in operations in China & Manchuria from c.1936, also into Malaya & Singapore to c.1943. VGC $300 $400
