13. Where can I get an HIV test?
Many people have a primary care provider that they see regularly At least once in the course of regular medical care, you should be offered an HIV test if you are over the age of 13 If you are not offered one, you can ask for an HIV test If you would like an HIV test but do not have a regular primary care provider, there are many places you can go for an HIV test You can make an appointment with a primary care doctor, go to a community based organization that offers HIV testing, go to your local health department, family planning clinic, or even find a mobile van at a community event where HIV testing is offered You can find out about places that offer HIV testing at www hivtestny org
