All American Picnic – NW

The All American Picnic starts with an Apple Pie Contest and barbeque at 5:30 p.m., with serving till 7 p.m. Kenny Cordova and the Old Time Rock and Roll Band will shake, rattle and roll with listening and dancing music. Celebrate with partners, The Fort Collins Breakfast Optimists and the Fort Collins Senior Center.

Picnic in the Park – NW

Get away from the daily routine and invite the older people in your lives to join you at City Park for an old fashioned picnic. There will be trolley rides, entertainment, and lots of picnic food. Suggested donation is only $3.00.

Historical Cafe


Musical Memories – NW M

Learn about the history of this unique form of music that started around 1900. Did you know that it was African American men who first gathered and sang their spirituals outside the Barbershops in the South? Howard Lowell will explore with you the history and harmony of the genre. Singing will be included.

The History of Magic – NW M

The Northern Colorado Presto-Digitators will share their knowledge about the fascinating performing art of magic. Join this talented group as they share their passion for magic. They will explain the origins of stage magic and they may even tell how they do it.

Waggin’ Tales – NW M

Waggin’ Tales is a time for inspirational dog stories for everyone! Gayle Irwin, author, will share her writings that teach valuable life lessons on courage, friendship, trust, respect, and confidence. She also has contributed to the Chicken Soup for the Soul compilations and shares her spiritual observations.

Tribute to Folk Music – NW

Join local musicians in remembering the days when the youth of America communicated a vision of cultural change through music made famous by Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul and Mary, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, and more. This is a summer concert behind the Senior Center overlooking Rolland Moore Park under the sky.

Tribute to the Eagles – NW

The Long Run – Tribute to the Eagles Band, one of the best bands to play at the Senior Center is returning for an encore performance. The Eagles were the worlds best loved band of the 1970’s. Celebrate with us once again.

She Groovez in the Backyard – NW

She Groovez is a female Rhythm and Blues band that rocks the music of the 70’s. They are so much fun when they are belting out “Funky Music, Fire and Good Times” that the whole audience feels like they stepped into a time machine. Who Groovez, you will at this concert.
