Rocky Bayou Christian School (RBCS) was founded in July 1973 to provide a God-centered education of high academic quality. RBCS is organized under the auspices of the Northwest Florida Christian Education Association (NFCEA,) a non-profit corporation chartered to operate Christian educational programs worldwide. All corporate authority is vested in a Board of Trustees that includes representatives of three local churches: Covenant Community Church, Grace Presbyterian Church, and Trinity Presbyterian Church. Management/executive authority is vested in the Superintendent.
1.2 Chain of Command
The Superintendent, Dr. Mike Mosley, is responsible for the operations of RBCS. The various School principals and Department Directors form the Superintendent’s Leadership Team (SLT.) Mrs. Marilyn Bilby is the Academy (7-12) principal.
1.3 Accreditation and Membership
RBCS is a ministry of the NFCEA and fully accredited by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS), the Middle States Association (MSA), and the National Institute of Learning Disabilities (NILD.) RBCS is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the Southern Baptist Association of Christian School (SBACS,) the Christian Coalition on Educational Innovation (CCEI), and the Wheaton Academy Network (WAnet) for schools hosting International students.
