Self-evaluation Report

During the visitation practice the students as observers get to know the experience of different teachers in organisation and running of the work at sessions of Home Economics and Information Technologies. The students observe the procedure of the lessons analysing and evaluating as well as drawing conclusions using the statements acquired at the theoretical study courses – General Pedagogics and Psychology, Didactics, Development and Social Psychology.

The aim of the practical training is to develop the skill of the students to recognise the uniformity of theory and practice as well as analytical skills, to get multisided experience on the practical procedure of teaching the courses Home Economics and Information Technologies at school this way creating practical trend for methodology of these specialisation courses to be learned in future studies.

	Studiju priekšmeta anotācija:
IZMA		Technology of Textiles - teaching methodical practice. Vadošais mācībspēks Lekt., Mag. Paed. Z.Beitere. 7 KP mācību prakses laiks – 7 nedēļas, Iesk. ar atzīmi. Specialitātes izvēles Mājas vide un informātika izglītībā studentiem 4., 6., 7. semestrī. Lekt., Mag. Paed S.Reihmane, Lekt., Mag. Paed I.Līce, Lekt., Mag. Paed L.Ozolniece.

In the teaching methodical practice in Technology of Textile the students develop and strengthen the skills in producing needle – work, weaved and sewed products and in acquisition of different technical methods. The students get to know the most suitable methodical solutions for application in learning needle – works, weaving and sewing. The interests and motivation of students are promoted for production of different products and organisation of such kind of learning. Communication of students and teachers during the practice is very important as the students are learning how to teach and organise communication. The students plan methodical solutions for definite syllabus aspects, prepare teaching methodical materials as well as acquire the first practical experience in pedagogical work.
