Language is Meaningful

Language is Arbitrary
It is impossible two speakers of different languages make communication, for there is no direct connection between the sounds of each language and the message that is expressed. If one who understands
Indonesian hears pen, he will interpret it as a tool for writing. The speakers of the language will be in agreement to accept this interpretation.
But there are some words that imitate the sound of their reference like buzz, hum, bang, etc. These kinds of words are called onomatopoeia. It seems that our statement is not valid in this case, but such word are only a few and they depend on the sounds which exist in the language.
