Enjoy a pleasant 1.5-hours scenic drive through beautiful German countryside to the Hanseatic city of Lubeck. Discover the charming old town which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will discover the elegant XIX century alleyways and ground courtyards that pay testament to when the Hanseatic League was a booming trade centre. Admire the world-famous Holsten Gate, the seven spires of the cities five churches, the Hospital of the Holy Ghost which dates back to 1280 and St. Mary's Church – home to the world's largest mechanical organ. You will enjoy a typical, light German lunch before leaving your guide in Lubeck and return to Kiel.

Leave the port and drive through the beautiful Schleswig-Holstein countryside to reach Ploen and its landmark historic castle set on a hill, overlooking a broad lake. We will embark on a delightful boat ride across five interconnecting lakes to reach Malente. These waterways of this region are a popular tourist destination thanks to their winning combination of crystal clear waters, the medieval villages that line the shores and the huge shady forests that contribute to the magical, fairytale atmosphere. In Malente you will visit the glass factory and watch the craftsmen demonstrate their skills. We will continue to Eutin, “City of Roses”, where you can explore the gardens of Eutin Castle and stroll the narrow streets around the lovely market place. A typical, light German lunch will be served on the banks of Lake Uklei. Return to Kiel
