In recognition of the respect with which the island’s inhabitants have always treated their natural environment throughout the centuries, Minorca was declared a UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1993. This tour will not only give you a chance to enjoy some of Minorca’s lovely landscape on your 30-minute coach trip from the port, but also take you to visit one of the island’s most popular destinations: the 3-kilometre stretch of golden sands known as Son Bou Beach. The island’s southern coastline is a place of great beauty, characterised by fine pale sands flanked by pine forests to the one side and dazzling turquoise waters to the other. Son Bou Beach itself is not only the longest on Minorca, but also one of its most appealing due to its soft sands and family-friendly amenities. You will then have a couple of hours to enjoy beach life – including various water sports and other beach activities (not included in the price of the tour) – before you head back to the port and your ship.

Please note: this tour operates from mid-June to mid-September.
MAH06 – HIGHLIGHTS OF MENORCA

Duration : approx. 4.5 hours

Enjoy an excursion that offers a comprehensive visit of some of the most beautiful towns in Minorca. We will leave the port and drive to the sweeping horse-shoe beach of “Arenal d’en Castell” where we will stop for pictures. Our next stop will be at Fornells located in the northern coast of the island. Fornells is a small pretty fishing village of white-washed houses with green shutters; enjoy a pleasant walk around before heading to Mount Toro, the island’s highest point, to enjoy lovely views. After a short stop to take picture of the lovely views our excursion will continue to Binibeca, a quaint town located on the south east coast of Minorca; it has a sheltered cove with a small, sandy beach. After the visit, we will board your coach for a transfer back to the port

Please note: this tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties or using a wheelchair as it includes walking on uneven ground.
MAH07 – VISIT THE LOVELY TOWN OF CIUTADELLA

Duration: approx. 4 hours

Leave the port and enjoy an excursion introducing you to the picture-postcard town of Ciutadella. After a 45-minute coach drive you will reach Ciutadella for an interesting guided visit. Formerly the old capital of Minorca and an historic walled town, Ciutadella was partly rebuilt in the XVII and XVIII centuries. You will walk around the narrow streets of the old quarter and admire the traditional architecture. A coach transfer back to the port will mark the end of the tour.

Please note: this tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties or using a wheelchair as it includes walking on uneven ground. Guests also have to walk approx. 350 metres from the bus car parking to the Ciutadella.
MALAGA (Spain)
Nestling between the mountains and the sea, Malaga, on Spain’s east coast, is the ‘capital’ of the Costa del Sol. This region has long been popular with holidaymakers who are drawn by the area’s fantastic beaches and made the Costa del Sol one of the most visited regions in Spain. But this town has more to offer than just seaside and sunshine – the pretty village of Marbella, the famous Alhambra in Granada and the Nerja Caves are all within easy reach.
