Teacher Guide: Two Worlds, One Fate Table of Contents

 Recently, Mara and Nakal took over as leaders of Atlantis. In their effort to push progress, they destroyed the ancient Arch of Wisdom. This great Arch contained the essence of Atlantian history, identity, community, and wisdom. This loss of knowledge has contributed to the environmental, moral, and social decay of the once great Atlantis.

 In an attempt to rescue what is left of Atlantian society, a group of six Atlantians came together to search for knowledge from other civilizations. These individuals built the OTAK, a virtual portal that allows them to communicate with people from other worlds. This group of Atlantians is secretly known as the Council of Atlantis. The fate of Atlantis is in their hands.

Meet the Council

• 
  Alim: a childhood friend of Unidad; she is a scientific researcher and avid skate-boarder (recognizable by her blue hair and freckles)
  
• 
  Lan: a close friend of Alim; he is an environmental activist who built his own laboratory to investigate environmental issues on Atlantis.
  
• 
  Unidad: a close friend of Alim and Lan; she is a social activist, an avid songwriter and leader of a band
  
• 
  Calron: a sculptor, architect, and musician
  
• 
  Salik: once an advisor to the Emperor of Atlantis, she is now an advisor to the Imperialist Atlantian Discussion Court; considered one of the wisest Council members; a holistic healer and marathon runner
  
• 
  Kerbe : a technological wizard who built the OTAK; an enthusiastic rugby player who frequently is writing and donating software to less fortunate populations in Atlantis.
