4376 GERM WW1 BRASS BRACELET MADE FROM AN ARTILLERY SHELL DRIVING BAND. Brass shield to front of bracelet stamped with Bavarian Heraldic Lion, iron cross motif and 1914/15. Beneath shield is a small brass chain with black en. Iron crosses (EK1 & EK2) attached to each end. Fancy chequered design to inside of bracelet. Comes with old cloth covered case. 4379 GERM CIRCA WW1 TRENCH ART - MINIATURE PICKELHAUBE CIGARETTE ASHTRAY. Brass construction with a nickel plated finish which shows O/A wear with areas of brass showing through. Has brass chinscales, star shaped helmet plate & spike. Thin nickel plated brass front & rear visors with some tears & dents. Pickelhaube body with hinge to back, lifts up to expose a nickel plated cylindrical cigarette ash container, this with an area of damage to one section. Still a very desirable, well made collectable item. Grade II-. $285

4384 GERM WW2 CRIMEA COMMEMORATIVE TRENCH ART PIECE. Turned wooden plate (260mm diam) with hand painted 'Krim' '1942' 'Rolf Kamm' around edge. The centre of the plate has a hand painted map of the Crimea region. Fixed to the centre of the plate is an original Eastern Front medal (susp. removed). Fixed to the top of the centre of the plate is a Close Combat clasp in silver (pin removed, & possibly a post war made piece?). Also fixed to the bottom edge of the plate is a pip from a shoulder tab. The plate has much age & weathering to all areas. The painted areas with fading & a washed out appearance. An unusual veteran made piece. Grade III+ $250

4385 ITALY/AUST WW2 POW TRENCH ART DESK TOP CIGARETTE DISPENSER. Polished hard wood in the form of a POW camp barracks hut. Has strikers on both sides of roof for matches (one missing). Cigarettes are dispensed by moving hut up and pushing back down, dispensing from roof. Reputedly made by an Italian POW at Tatura POW Camp in Victoria. Has chip to one corner of the base. Measures 28cm in length, 14cm wide and 13.5cm high. Grade II- $250

4432 FRANCE M.1855 INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD. Slightly curved broad fullered blade. Still bright with very light surface pitting. Inscription along back of blade. Ornate brass hilt and pommel. Wood grips missing binding. C/w all steel scabbard - heavily toned. As used extensively by both sides during the American Civil War. Grade II- $850

4438 GERM WW1-1930s JUNIOR ARMY OFFICERS SABRE. Plain nickle plated blade remains nice bright finish. Stirrup hilt with wire bound black bakelite grips shows some wear to nickel finish. C/w black painted all metal scabbard, with one hanging ring with provision for sling attachment. Has a couple of small dings to scabbard o/w Grade II- $420

4439 GERM WW2 SWORD KNOT. For the Municipal Protection Police. Stitching has come undone on the strap all the way but is repairable. O/w GC knot. $85

4440 INDIA C/19TH CENT.- EARLY 20TH CENT. TALWAR SWORD. Plain all steel hilt with typical large disk pommel. Heavy curved Semitar steel blade with only light stain. Hilt with O/A pitting and light surface rust. C/W leather covered wood scabbard. O/A Length 92cm. Grade II-. $300

4441 INDIA c/1850- early 20th Cent. Tulwar Sword. Quite a heavy blade Cleaned up) Steel handle with simple Iron hand guard and disc type pommel, usual age patina/light surface rust to handle. Leather covered scabbard. Reasonable example. Lic Req Victoria. Grade II- $300

4444 Japan WW2 Army Officer's Shin-Gunto. Tight, clean brown binding to Tsuka, possibly rebound, couple of Horizontal splits to the white Same' on the side only. Brass Kabuto- Gane with a matt brown finish with edges highlighted in gilt. Decorated brass Sarute. Brass Fuchi with Sakuru and leaves design with a matt brown finish and gilt borders. Solid A01 shaped brass Tsuba with Sakura to each corner Has a hole for the press stud leather retention strap. One W/m Seppa to either side of Tsuba. Brass Habaki with diagonal grooved design. Blade Tang with signature. Clean blade with Hamon still visable. Brown leather covered field scabbard with lace up top section above single brass suspension mount. A nice example. Grade II- $1200

4445 JAPAN WW2 1886 PATTERN ARMY COMPANY OFFICERS PARADE SABRE. Pierced brass hilt with knucklebow. Black, horn, brass wirebound grip, double fullered blade with plating lifting. Leather blade washer present. Old black repaint to double hangered scabbard. Blade length 72cm. O/a length is 85cm. Grade II- $500

4450 JAPAN 1886 PATTERN WW2 ARMY COMPANY OFFICERS PARADE SABRE. Brass knucklebow & pierced handguard with silver mon present on underside of handguard. Re-lacquered brown wooden grip with brass wire binding. Double fullered blade with Hamon present. Re-chromed single hanger scabbard with broken 6.5cm tip professionally repaired. Handguard and leather blade washer do not fit snuggly against scabbard throat (6mm space), possibly due to scabbard repair. Still an attractive looking Parade sabre. Grade II. $550

4451 JAPAN SCARCE 1895 PATTERN NAVAL PRISON & SHORE PATROL SWORD. Black leather Covergo grip with intermittent brass wire binding. Brass hilt fittings with engraved foul anchor design to backstrap. Clean, machine made blade of Shinogi-Zukuri form, but with flattened back edge. Minor pitting towards tip, brown leather blade washer present. Wood lined, all steel nickel plated scabbard with minor dent near drag. Dark age patina to scabbard finish. Foul anchor design engraved to obverse of scabbard near drag. Blade length including Habaki 65.5cm. O/a length of sword 83.5cm. A lovely example of a rare and desirable sword. Grade II. $1500

4452 JAPAN WW2 NCOs SHIN-GUNTO SWORD. Regular aluminium pattern hilt with 70% brown paint remaining. Most gilt paint worn off both Menuki. Hilt retained to tang by a Meguki. Tang signature present. Plain solid, blackened, iron tsuba. 2 x black seppa black fuchi. Brass Habaki present. Blade has light pitting to area of fuller and mune. Accountability Number 89716. Present on blade (very worn) and throat of repainted olive green scabbard, o/a length of sword 91.8cm Blade length 69.1cm. Grade II- $850

4453 JAPAN WW2 BROWN LEATHER SWORD BELT with an external leather tongue which covers the buckle and tucks into the belt loop Reputed to be used by Cavalry Officers, but may have also been used by Infantry Warrant Officers. Has the owner's name marked to the inside in ink appears to read "KIYOMOTO" This is the actual belt photographed in the book 'Japanese Military and Civil Swords and Dirks' by Richard Fuller and Ron Gregory. 4454 JAPAN WW2 NICKEL PLATED BRASS CHAIN SWORD HANGER. Heavy two strand interwoven chain 47cm long. Nickel plating has toned and worn through to brass in places giving it a nice aged appearance. A very desirable set of hangers. Grade II- $475

4455 JAPAN WW2 ISLAND MADE SWORD, overall length 25.5", the blade is 17", curved flat sided blade tapering to a small tip has staining and some light pitting, no habaki, brass end fitting with tassel loop. Wood scabbard with leather combat cover and copper single hanger. Most of the fittings have remains of gold gilt finish and the copper hanger and tassel holder have age patina. Possibly an island made sword during or just after WW2. Grade III+. $200

4457 SWEDISH 1854 PATTERN CAVALRY TROOPERS SWORD, brass guard, steel blade by 'JP TN', leather bound grip (missing wire and thumb leather loop). Double ring steel scabbard stamped '3R 2SN 43' and on the guard '3/32'. O/a a nice sword. Grade II- $650*

Swastika on rev. side has been profession- ally replaced with the centre section of a Bomber's clasp. (Nickel-silver winged bomb). Inlaid brass Sunwheel Swastika to the centre of the crossguard on obv. & rev. Moroccan blue leather wire bound grip. "Helbig" maker & Luftwaffe acceptance stamp to blade. Clean, bright blade, 4 cm section to the tip of the blade has been broken off, but professionally brazed back on. Blue moroccan leather covered scabbard with nickel-silver plated fittings.
