IgY antibodies in human nutrition for disease prevention
Reflection:
In our bacteriology, Helicobacter pylori is one of the bacteria that is difficult to treat because of its virulence which is they can go through the digestive system without getting melted in the gastritic acid of the stomach. But in this study, it was shown that there is an alternative way of treating this bacteria and other bacteria mentioned. Aside from rats, chickens also made its way to prove that they are also capable of contributing scientific discoveries that could help mankind. With the help of this chickens, they were injected by IgY antigen and were able to produce eggs with an IgY antibody in their yolk that is susceptible for H. pylori. With this article as our bases, we could still discover more antibodies that could treat other diseases. And also I have come to appreciate chikens and prove that they are not only good to be cooked as fried chicken or lechon but prove that they are also good in producing antibodies.
