  1. Inoperative fire extinguisher is tagged inoperative, removed from the installed location, and placed out of sight so it cannot be mistaken for a functional unit, and

  2. Internal baggage door remains CLOSED,

  3. Flight crew investigates baggage compartment for possible fire in the event the “BAG EER HOT” message displays, and

  2. Associated lavatory door is LOCKED, CLOSED and placarded, “INOPERATIVE-DO NOT ENTER”, and

  3. Lavatory is used only by crewmember.








































NOTE 1: These provisos are not intended to prohibit lavatory use or inspections by crewmembers.








































NOTE 2: Lavatory smoke detection system is not required for all-cargo operations.
