Corbin City is a non-operating school district which sends resident students to the Upper Township School District Pre-K-8 and to Ocean City High School for grades 9-12. Tuition rates for each school district are automatically calculated within the Department of Education’s budget software during the mandatory annual budget process, based on a state formula that determines an estimated cost per pupil. Student tuition and transportation costs account for approximately 85 percent of the district’s budgeted expenditures. Over 50 percent of district budget is funded by state aid. Local tax levy amount established in the school budget is the minimum amount that must be raised by local taxes as determined by New Jersey statue. We invite you to attend our meetings. Watch for meeting dates on City Hall’s sign.
