Tax Collector
Just a friendly reminder taxes are due on February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and November 1st, with a 10 day grace period. If the taxes are not received by the 10th, interest will be charged back to the first. We do not accept postmark. If you your taxes are paid by your mortgage company and you have a delinquency, you will be notified, not your mortgage company. It is up to you to contact your mortgage company.
Revaluation/Taxes
The Revaluation for the City is complete and the appeal process will begin. Mayor and Council would like to thank our residents for their cooperation. The City now has a level assessment for all properties. The budget for the City, County, and State must be completed before the tax rate is struck.

Mayor’s Message
It has been a long time coming but the bridge project is in full swing. It is going to be a trying experience for our citizens until the completion of the new bridge. A few issues need to be address:
1. Main St. is closed to south bound traffic. ( going toward the bridge) Coming off Aetna Drive you MUST turn left only.
2. When using Maple Ave. to access Rt. 50, please proceed with caution because of the curve.
3. RT.50 can also be accessed from Main St. at the gas station. There will be another barrier placed down by the gas station to allow local traffic only. This should alleviate summer traffic from using Main St. as a short cut.
Other items of interest: Aetna Drive will be paved sometime in March. New lines will be painted on Head of River Rd. There will continue to be discussions regarding the beach. All your concerns are being considered along with the engineer’s recommendation. For those of you who did not attend our February City Council meeting, Mr. Fred Akers, from the Great Egg Harbor River and Watershed Assoc. gave a presentation about the erosion on the beach. It seems we are having some erosion issues, and Mayor and Counsel are looking at what is the best way to address this.
I would like to say ”Thank You” to County Executive Denny Levinson and the County Freeholders for their help road improvements in Atlantic Gardens. The roads were swept and cut back. This was a big help to the city.
In closing, I would like to ask all our citizens to use patience as the projects in town are going on, but, if you have any problems I am available to meet with you.

Pets
Corbin City passed an ordinance for the protection of pets. During extreme temperatures, whether in cold weather or hot weather, pets should be brought into a shelter area and provide adequate food and water. Failure to protect your pets can lead to tickets and or pets being removed. When walking your dog, be considerate do not leave your dog’s waste on other people’s property. Keeping sidewalks clean and other people’s property clean of your dog’s waste, makes you a good neighbor
Did you get your dog license?????

Budget and Taxes
Our taxes are a combination of Atlantic County Tax, School Tax, and Local Tax. The only tax number we control is our Local Tax. Local tax pays for the operation of Corbin City. We make every possible attempt every year to keep our local tax as low as possible.
Zoning Officer
When you receive a zoning permit from the Zoning Officer, you will still need to get other permits for construction. Getting a zoning permit does not mean you can move ahead with your project. All county, state, and federal permits are your responsibilities. Make sure you understand the process before you begin. The Zoning Officer is not just here for zoning permits. He can answer your questions about other things regarding your property. He also will hear your concerns regarding complaints that you may have.
The Zoning Officer is available at City Hall every month, on the second and fourth Tuesday at 5:30 to 7:00 PM. You may call City Hall and leave a message for the Zoning Officer at any time.
