GOVERNMENT AS A SUBJECT OF STUDY (SCHOOL SUBJECT)

Government can also be defined as an academic field or subject of study just like Economics, Geography, History and Biology. It is a social science subject learnt in secondary schools and higher institutions of learning. At the secondary school level, it is called Government' while it is known as political science in the universities and other higher institutions of learning. In both cases, students learn the principles of governance, the study of formal institutions and the processes involved in the making, execution and enforcement of societal laws.
