2 0 years of the Francophone Games. From September 27 to October 6, 2009, Lebanon will host the 6th Francophone Games, the theme of which will be Solidarité, Diversité, Excellence [Solidarity, Diversity, Excellence]. Every 4 years, the Games bring together close to 3,000 young athletes and artists to compete in 6 sporting events and 7 cultural competitions. The previous Francophone Games took place in Morocco (1989), France (1994), Madagascar (1997), Canada (2001) and Niger (2005).
