According to the 2008 US Census ancestry survey, the percentages of Irish Americans living in the Northeast was 26%, the Midwest 24%, the South 32%, and the West was 18%. The percentages of Anglims living in these regions in 2011 are: 31.8 % in the Northeast, 26.6% in the Midwest, 17.0% in the South, and 24.6 % in the West. Comparing this 2008 Census survey to this 2011 Anglim population distribution survey, it appears that vis-à-vis all Irish Americans, that a greater proportion of Anglims live in the Northeast, a greater proportion of Anglims live in the West, a slightly greater proportion of Anglims live in the Midwest, and a much less proportion of Anglims live in the South.
