3rd annual reno chalk art festival call for artists application form

EVENT DATES: FRIDAY, JULY 13, 2018, 10 AM – 9 PM & SATURDAY, JULY 14, 2018, 10 AM – 9 PM

ATLANTIS CASINO RESORT SPA, RENO, NV • WEST PARKING LOT

APPLICATION DEADLINE: JULY 1, 2018

In addition to submitting a completed form, please attach the following images to your application:

• 
  A minimum of three high-res images of past artwork
  
• 
  A high-resolution head shot photo
  

1. 
   Artists will be provided pastels to work with; no acrylic is permitted. If you plan on using a predominant color, you may want to bring your own color before the festival.
   
2. 
   This is a juried event. All artists will be provided two meals per day, an event t-shirt and for those traveling from out of town a limited number of complimentary hotel rooms will be available and assigned based upon quality of art submitted.
   
3. 
   If you plan on using another living artist’s work, you must include permission in the form of email or letter in your application.
   
4. 
   Assignment of space will be at the discretion of the Atlantis Special Events team.

   This is a family-themed event. Inappropriate images containing nudity, vulgar or explicit language or expression are not permitted.
   
7. 
   Artists are not allowed to advertise their chalk art in any way. Words, logos or symbols intended as advertising will not be permitted.
   
8. 
   Atlantis reserves the right to revoke or refuse to grant space at any time. Atlantis shall not be liable to anyone for this action.
   
9. 
   Artists must be at least 18 years old.
   
10. 
    Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, Best Reproduction of a Master’s Work, Best Use of Color, Best 3D, and Artists’ Choice.
    
11. 
    Awards will be issued at the time of the awards ceremony on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Must be present to win.

Artist agrees that there will be no political or commercial images displayed, no profanity or questionable images will be permitted. Disregarding these guidelines will subject the artist to immediate ejection from the competition.

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa accepts no responsibility for any loss/damage to the artist for items, clothing and/or equipment due to theft, vandalism, fire, or acts of God. All effects and small items should be removed from designated drawing area when artist is not present. Any valuables left unguarded will be done so at the artist’s risk. Artist shall indemnify and hold harmless Atlantis Casino Resort Spa from and against all claims and expenses including attorney’s fees arising from any negligent acts or omissions of the artist or any of their agents, employees, sub-contractors or principals.
