Objectives
To acquire an internship with a reputable urban art collective group, and utilize the skills I have acquired to creatively contribute to the painting of public and private mural commissions, as well as other projects that require the use of a different medium.

Automobile (SUV) Painter ▪ Mar. 5, 2013 – Mar. 9, 2013
Laughing Skull Lounge ▪ 878 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309
Met with owner of the vehicle after several days of negotiating car designs and placement of logos, then cut out stencils of appropriate logos. After buffing the car’s original paint job, the vehicle was then primed with a matt paint; next the design was translated from sketch to paint on the car’s body, and finished with a clear, high-gloss coating. All work was done within the deadline given.

Sweetwater Brewing Company ▪ 2591 Briarcliff Rd Atlanta, GA 30329 (location of mural)
Used mathematical equations to proportionally paint two company logos (overlapping, 12’ x 18’) on the front face of a business, prepared the stucco for mural by sanding and cleaning, used spray and acrylic paint to achieve the owner’s requests.

Prepared surfaces by lightly buffing van body and protecting windows and lights, worked with client in order to creatively paint his ideas, applied my own creative techniques and ideas, used an airbrush to clear coat the finished product.

Prepared wall for painting, developed an artistic mural based on several photos of the rebuilt New York City skyline, added several design elements to add to the quality of the mural, reproduced logos as directed by the owner, applied clear coat to ensure durability over time.

Used mathematical equations to proportionally translate an advertisement for Little Five Fest, used spray paint and clear coat to ensure durability of the advertisement.

Designed a custom letter style that spelled out the band’s name, transferred design to a computer format to allow it to be published on the home page of the band’s website, modified color contrast and emphasized key aspects of the design in a digital editing program.

Prepared the bus for painting by protected light structures, windows, and seats, created an original concept based on a preconceived color scheme, cut out several large stencils and sprayed them on the interior of the bus in order to satisfy the owner’s requests

Developed a concept for the bar’s main storefront sign, painted with latex and spray paint on a 20’ ladder, applied a color scheme to achieve the proper contrast in order for the sign to be legible from afar.

Developed a concept that blended the desires of the bar owner and the Jameson representatives, pitched the idea with a developed and properly dimensioned sketch, received approval and translated the sketch to a latex-paint mural in the stairwell, created a stencil of the bar and Jameson logos and integrated them into the mural concept.
