ABSTRACT
Food waste is an unused source of energy that keeps it decomposing in landfills, thus releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Food waste is difficult to handle or digest as it contains high levels of sodium salt and moisture, and is mixed with other waste during collection. Major food waste producers include hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, accommodations, restaurants, airlines, food processing industries, etc. Food wastes dumped in landfills decompose to produce methane, a powerful greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. You know that it is better if we somehow convert all waste into pure energy and another recyclable product. Some colleges and businesses help and create resilience. Sustainability involves the ability to use resources repeatedly at a set level such as not harming the environment. Food waste can be converted into valuable resources such as organic fertilizers, energy, and animal feed.
