May 12, 2011 Communications Manager mdorning@acbsp.org ACBSP Awards Hutchinson Community College & Area Vocational School Initial Accreditation of its Business Programs Overland Park, KS — The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Associate Degree Board of Commissioners recently awarded Hutchinson Community College and Area Vocational School, in Hutchinson, Kansas, initial accreditation of its Business Administration Technology, Accounting Services, Banking, Paralegal, Business Management and Entrepreneurship, and Transfer Business Programs. Established in 1988, ACBSP is the only business accrediting organization for all associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degree programs. In 2001, ACBSP was recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). ACBSP continues to grow, having recently added its ninth region to better serve member institutions in Latin, Central and South America. There are currently more than 932 member campuses representing 519 different institutions, including 142 member campuses from outside the United States.
