ACBSP Awards Hutchinson Community College & Area Vocational School Initial Accreditation of its Business Programs
Overland Park, KS — The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Associate Degree Board of Commissioners recently awarded Hutchinson Community College and Area Vocational School, in Hutchinson, Kansas, initial accreditation of its Business Administration Technology, Accounting Services, Banking, Paralegal, Business Management and Entrepreneurship, and Transfer Business Programs.
ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the business school at Hutchinson Community College and Area Vocational School meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP.
“Hutchinson Community College and Area Vocational School has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process,” said ACBSP Director of Accreditation Steve Parscale, who will present the Certificate of Initial Accreditation at the ACBSP Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, June 26. “This accreditation is evidence that Hutchinson Community College and Area Vocational School is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students.”

ACBSP is a leading specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. Established in 1988, ACBSP is the only business accrediting organization for all associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degree programs. In 2001, ACBSP was recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
ACBSP continues to grow, having recently added its ninth region to better serve member institutions in Latin, Central and South America. There are currently more than 932 member campuses representing 519 different institutions, including 142 member campuses from outside the United States. There are 520 accredited campuses —203 from associate degree-granting institutions. ACBSP member institutions represent 48 different countries.
