Departure for the high plateau of Guatemala; arrival at the indigenous village of Chichicastenango. Visit to the multicolor market where you will see a clear expression of religious syncretism where settlers blend their Mayan beliefs with the Catholic religion in the Church of Santo Tomás. At the agreed time, departure for Panajachel, located on the Lake Atitlan. Lodging at the Posada de Don Rodrigo Hotel on the shores of the lake.

At 9.00 a.m., boat ride to the indigenous village of Santiago Atitlan, where you will find a variety of crafts and a particular religious syncretism. Visit to the colonial-style Church and to the house of the brotherhood of Maximon, whom villagers considered to be the most important person in the village. Return to Panajachel at midday and transfer Guatemala or La Antigua in the afternoon.

At 5 a.m. transfer to the airport to take the flight to the International Airport of Tikal. Upon arrival, transfer to the most important Archeological Site of the Mayan World called Tikal, which means “Place of Voices”.
Upon arrival at Tikal Archeological Site, our guide will show you the model of the Temples & Acropolis complex.
Visit to the Q and R complex, the Central Acropolis, Temple 1 “of the Great Jaguar” and Temple II “of the Masks”. The former is considered to be one of the most important temples in the site. Then, visit to the Lost World. Lunch at the Visitors Center. In the afternoon, visit to the Silvanus Morley Museum. At the agreed time, transfer to the Tikal Camino Real Hotel.

At the agreed time, departure for the Archeological Site of Yaxhá and Topoxté. Upon arrival at the Park, visit to the Yaxhá site. Then, boat ride across the Yaxhá lagoon to visit the Topoxté site, where you can see nature mingled with the site’s archeological beauty. Return to the Visitors Center for lunch in El Sombrero Camp. At the agreed time, transfer to the airport to take the plane back to Guatemala.
