Community Investment Grants to Organizations and Individuals.
-
Grant award recommendations were based on the following considerations:
a) Level of event, i.e. International, National, Western Canadian, Provincial.
b) Number of Participants.
c) Number of days the event is taking place.
d) Whether the event is adult or youth oriented.
e) Amount of eligible expenditures.
f) City of Edmonton recognition potential.
-
A comparison of the funding levels for “like” events (i.e. similar expenditures, numbers of participants, number of days, adult/youth, level of event) from 1995 - 2000 Community Investment Hosting recommendations was undertaken in order to remain as consistent to previous years as possible when formulating these recommendations.
-
The Percentage of eligible expenses was also considered. Organizations were not recommended for funding more than 25% of their total Operating expenses for the event.
-
Consideration was also given to any other previous Community Services Advisory Board decisions regarding events potential eligibility.
