I’ll award 5 points for each correct answer, however I will award zero points if you list more than 5 teams . Third Inning (5, 3 or 1 point wager):

  3. All-Star History Throughout the years, there have been 3 different “official” names for the All-Star Game MVP award. Correctly list at least 1 of them and I’ll award points to your team. (Arch Award, Commissioner’s Trophy, Ted Williams MVP Award)

Sixth Inning (10 points):

Baseball & Pop Culture – There have been 4 American Idol winners to sing the Star Spangled Banner at Major League All-Star Games. Who are they? I’ll award 10 points for each correct answer but zero points if you list more than 4 names. (Candice Glover, Jordin Sparks, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood)

Seventh Inning (7, 5 or 2 point wager):

Eighth Inning (up to 30 points):

Cincinnati Reds All-Star History – Five members of the Big Red Machine’s “Great Eight” have won an All-Star Game MVP award. Who are the 3 that didn’t? I’ll award 10 points for each correct answer but zero points if you list more than 3 names. (Johnny Bench, Pete Rose, Cesar Geronimo)

Ninth Inning (7, 5 or 2 point wager):

  1. All-Star History - What player, who spent his entire career in the American League, was elected an All-Star Game starter the most times by fan balloting? (Cal Ripken Jr., 17 times)

  2. Baseball & Pop Culture – These two Hollywood mega stars together attended the 2003 American League Championship Series between the Yankees and Red Sox at Fenway Park. That same year, the romantic crime/comedy in which they both starred was panned by critics and audiences alike. I’ll award points to the teams that correctly identify the two stars and an additional 5 points for the name of the movie. (Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Gigli)

  3. Uniform Numbers – If the Yankees retire Derek Jeter’s jersey number 2, what then would be the lowest jersey number NOT retired by the club? (#11)
