Committee on International Program and Activities
2011-2012 Annual Report
Below is a sample list of activities and study abroad program undertaken by the Office of International Education, the International Student Organization and the CIPA. There are two new international initiatives that should be highlighted. The first is the work as we begin to internationalize the curriculum by adding a component involving long distance conferencing to bring international lecturers to the campus and to provide ways for our faculty to meet and work with professors in our numerous partner universities across the globe. During the past three months, we have been involved with university, professors and students at universities in Sweden, Germany, the Czech Republic and China. The second is the additional of an international student component to the annual student research component. We had students from the University of South Bohemia (Czech Republic) and Otto von Guericke University (Germany) making research presentations right beside our all Armstrong students with the aid of online video conferencing.
The list of activities and events give evidence that Armstrong is making great gains in the international arena.
