c. Honor Flight: Nov/Jan
This project is also FASC project of the year. The funds are raised to send WW2 veterans to the monument in Washington D.C. There are three parts to the project: raising money, writing letters to the veteran to be opened at the “Mail Call” on the way home from D.C., and the homecoming greeting at the airport. This year the project goals include involving all or more of our county’s elementary schools, at least 30 of our middle schools, and 28 high schools.
Chair: Jessica from Atlantic Tech
d. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital:
Start: Feb. 2016 End: March 2016. High schools and middle schools will conduct a fundraiser or can sell the Joe DiMaggio gloves and can hang them up in their school. Schools will challenge other schools to see who can raise the most. The total funds raised will be divided by the size of the schools’ student body to determine the winners of the challenges.
e. Environmental Project: Year round
April 2016. Each middle and high school BCASC member will conduct an environmental project of their choosing. Schools can join together to form a coalition to conduct a large project or they can carry out an environmental project of their own.

Under construction. Destination diploma we did in high schools. Not fair to middle schools because they have nothing to do. Find a way to get kids engaged in going to school. Get more middle schools wanting to go to high school and then graduate. Wants middle school advisors to come up with ideas for this.
