Creative Work

“Women in Science,” Producer, Director, 2011 (in-progress). A series of videos examining gender bias in higher education, supported by a National Institute of Health grant, principle investigators Wendy Williams and Steve Ceci, Cornell University.


“Performing the Score,” Producer, 2011. An educational video about classical instruments and performance, funded by a Mellon Foundation grant, created for Malcolm Bilson, Cornell University.
“Finger Lakes Uncorked,” Series Producer, Episode Director, Co-Writer, 2010. A webisode series of short fiction films (shot on HD) for viral/web/mobile distribution. Developed with students and funded by local sponsors. The story is about a Quixote-type dreamer who struggles to revive his marriage and bank account by winning an organic wine competition.
“The Future of Communication,” Producer, Director, 2009. A series of online videos for web/mobile delivery created for the Park School of Communication, Ithaca College.
“How Small is Nano?” Producer, Director, 2009. Two short videos (in Spanish and English) about nanobiotechnology produced for the Sciencenter, a hands-on children’s museum in Ithaca. Project funded by the National Science Foundation.
“Truth & Consequences,” Producer, Director, 2008. An independent documentary short about experiments with childrens’ memory.
“Perfidia,” Co-Producer, 2008. An independent feature film produced in collaboration with director and Ithaca College alumnus Rodrigo Bellott.
“Visitithaca,” Producer, Director, 2008. A short video created for the Ithaca/Tompkins Convention and Visitor’s Bureau for web distribution, designed to attract tourists to the region.
“The Power of Education: The Legacy of Roy H. Park,” Producer, 2008. A short video biopic created for the Park Foundation.
“Five Stories from South Hill,” Producer, Director, 2006. A short video created for Ithaca College used to promote successful $145 million capital campaign.
“High Hopes,” Producer, Director, 2004. An independent documentary short about a therapeutic riding program for children with physical disabilities.
“IC-Irish World Music,” Producer, Director, 2004. A short video, produced for the Ithaca College School of Music, about an international exchange program for musicians who perform traditional Irish music.
“When Continents Collide,” Producer, Director, 2003. A short video, produced for the Paleontological Research Institute, about plate tectonics.
“A Museum of the Earth,” Producer, Director, 2002. A short video, produced for the Paleontological Research Institute, about their history and mission.
“Artistry in Motion,” Producer, 2002. A short video about the physics of motion, initially produced for the Sciencenter, traveled to museums nationwide, funded by the National Science Foundation.
“The State Theater,” Producer, Director, 2002. An independent documentary video about a crumbling picture palace and the community’s fight to save it.
“Gurls Make Music,” Producer, Director, 2001. A short, independent documentary about teenage rock musicians.
“The Frederick Douglass Academy,” Producer, Director, 2001. A short documentary about a high-achieving public high school in Harlem.
“Ithaca College: It Fits,” Producer, Director, 2000. A short video produced for Ithaca College office of Admission, designed to promote the college.
“Breast Cancer and Environmental Risk Factors,” Producer, Director, 1999. A series of educational videos, distributed on DVD nationally, produced for the Cornell University Department of Breast Cancer and Environmental Risk Factors.
“Wake Up Screaming,” Producer, Director, 1999. An independent feature documentary about four addicts who are sentenced to a boot-camp style program for convicted felons.
“Cornell at Saratoga,” Producer, Director, 1998. A short commercial spot created for the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine.
“Breaking the News,” Producer, Director, 1998. A short, independent fiction film based on the short story by Vladimir Nabokov.
“Ithaca College Orientation Video,” Producer, Director, 1998. A short video produced for Ithaca College benefits department.
“Deportation at Breakfast,” Producer, Director, 1997. A short, independent fiction film about a man who walks into a diner and meets the unexpected.
“Holiday Video,” Producer, Director, 1997. A live holiday music performance video created for PBS regional broadcast.
“Leaving Las Vegas: The Early Years,” Producer, 1997. A short fiction film made for Showtime Network.
“Golden Hill,” Producer, Director, 1995. A short documentary video submitted as thesis for MFA degree from NYU’s graduate film program, about the Paugaussetts in Connecticut.
“From the Eagle’s Nest,” Producer, Writer, Director, 1993. A short fiction film completed as second-year project in graduate film program at NYU, about a 17th-century midwife.
