Vis for vocabulary.VISION AND HEARING SCREENING Vision and hearing screenings will be completed according to State Health Department recommendations for all students in grades 1, 3, 5 and all newly registered Columbus Elementary students. Parents will be notified by the school if a professional examination is recommended. Contact the school for special vision and hearing requests.
VISITORSAll visitors MUST sign in at the office and receive a visitor badge to help students and staff identifies everyone in our building. Anyone not wearing a budge will be directed to the office. Non-enrolled students are not allowed to spend the day visiting a classroom. Former students are always welcome to visit after 3:30 PM. 23 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT COLUMBUSChildren whose parents are actively involved in their school have higher academic achievement and a better attitude towards school. Parents who volunteer also express greater confidence in schools and are better equipped to help their children with schoolwork. If you are interested in donating your time and talents check with your child’s teacher or the office.
