Cover storyTerritory balloons over China – outback ballooning expands to Yangshuo Drought breaking rains in Central Australia Territory innovation at Linetec Tall Poppy: Kerry Ambrose Pearce Welcome to 2009’s first edition of Territory Q – our very own quarterly business and investment magazine. Territory Q connects us with national and international audiences, promoting business and investment opportunities in the Territory. It also keeps Territorians up-to-date with what’s happening in their own backyard. This issue of Territory Q takes us across the Territory from the lush suburbs of Darwin to the windswept beaches of East Arnhem Land. Our lead story is in Central Australia where the eight year drought has broken, awakening the land to new economic prosperity. We follow the Territory’s Outback Ballooning company that has set up in southern China and we visit the offices of ConocoPhillips in Darwin for a yarn with local manager, Michael Hatfield. The Territory Q message is clear and unambiguous: that the Territory is a great place to live and work - with fresh approaches to doing business.
