Atlanta artist Eleanor Neal has a rising national prominence. Her unique methodology, utilizing bee's wax, specially treated paper, tree moss and other raw materials found in nature, has attracted the attention of top institutions and curators across the country.
Eleanor received her B.F.A. and M.A. from Indiana University. She is currently a graduate student at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the Low-Residency Master of Fine Arts, MFA Program.
Eleanor's work has been featured in Anamesa 2014, the interdisciplinary journal of New York University's Graduate School of Arts and Science. Eleanor has shown at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking, Norwalk, Connecticut in the International Footprint Biennial Exhibition curated by renowned artist Donald Sultan. Her work was featured in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, MOCA-GA "Georgia Artists Selecting Georgia Artists" Exhibition 2013. The Hampton University's International Review, where she won the prestigious Elizabeth Catlett Printmaking Award. Eleanor is in the permanent collection at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia. She is a Hambidge fellow at the Hambidge Creative Center Artists Residency Program. Recent art work will be featured at Chastian Gallery in the Atlanta Printmaking Studio group exhibition in October 2015.
