PROFESSIONAL COACHING EXPERIENCE
Director and Professional Soccer Coach, Lakeland Futbol Club, Florida, May 2011 – April 2013
Head coach for both the U11 and U15 boy’s teams. Train and coach various teams in the club (boys and girls). Also run camps and training programs for players in the club. Provide coaching education for coaches.
State Coach & Coaching Education Instructor, Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA), August 2000 - Current
Train, scout, and evaluate players to represent Florida Olympic Development Program (ODP) teams. Coach the 1993 Girls team (2010), which we had the majority of the team make the Region Pool during Region Camp. Coaching staff for Developmental Camp. Assistant coach for the 1989 Boys “A” team (2003), which sent three players to the U15 US Men’s National Team. I am a state instructor as I teach coaching courses (i.e. youth modules, “E” License, and “D” License); which I am a lead instructor.

Responsible for all aspects of the girl’s side of the club, which includes the following: coaching education (14 coaches on my staff), developing curriculum, coaching/training all competitive teams (10 teams), running various player development programs. Accomplishments include coaching the U16 Girls team to win the prestigious Atlanta Cup (September 2008), winning the fall regular season in USA Division I, making the Challenge Round of the Florida State Cup.
Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Erskine College, March 2004 – March 2007
Coach/manage all aspects of the women’s soccer team at an NCAA Division II institution. Team received NSCAA Team Academic Award for having a 3.25 GPA and the NSCAA Team Ethics/Sportsmanship Award. Several players recognized as All Conference (CVAC). Brought team from 12th to 5th place in a year with only a little less than three athletic scholarships. Also responsible for locker room renovations and field improvements.

Coach the 1988 GODP team in 2004-05 and the 1993 age group (2005-06). Many of my players from the ’88 GODP team went on to play at the NCAA DI and DII collegiate level. Also a state instructor as I teach coaching courses (i.e. youth modules, “E” License and “D” License).

Teach activity courses (Soccer, Aerobic Conditioning, & Weight Training) to college students at Florida State University. Assist professors and evaluate undergraduate students, Juniors and Seniors, as a University Supervisor in the Physical Education-Teacher Education program.

Coach ODP (Olympic Development Program) teams; head coach of the 1986 Girls ODP team. Teach coaching education courses and develop curriculum. Budget, schedule, coach, administrate, organize special events, and communicate with coaches, administrators, and club members from Iowa (approx. 38,000) and around the nation. Many of my players from the ’86 GODP team went on to play at the NCAA Division I level.
