Most people tap their feet when they hear music, but some people make music by tapping their feet.
TAP - The Show is a powerhouse production, celebrating the artistry of tap dance from around the globe.
TAP - The Show is fueled by a non-stop explosion of rhythmic energy. Wrapped in dazzling costumes and backed by a soaring orchestral score, this cast of award-winning dancers and singers travels seamlessly over decades of styles from Broadway and big band to
world music and pop/rock.
Each section brings to life iconic tap moments of the past and creates brand new moments that amaze audiences. Included in this extravaganza are recreations of some of your favorite Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly numbers, Broadway showstoppers, smooth and sultry soft shoe, flamenco, tribal, Irish step and more.

MICHELLE FORTNER
Michelle is a third generation dancer / teacher / choreographer. In addition to dancing the past three seasons in TAP – The Show, she was recently one of the choreographers for country music star Taylor Swift’s Fearless tour and made her national television choreography debut on the 2009 CMT Video Awards. She also performed with Taylor on the 42nd Annual Country Music Awards Show. Her choreography was also featured in the GAC television special Christmas In The Black Hills and the holiday hit show A Grand Christmas. Michelle is originally from Nashville, TN, but, has travelled the world dancing for Celebrity Cruise Lines. Her Industrial credits include many household names including Harley Davidson and Disney. She has also appeared in music videos for country music legends Brooks and Dunn and American Idol’s Bo Brice. Michelle has entertained audiences in Branson, Mo and Hershey, PA. She enjoys teaching workshops and choreographing pieces for studios throughout the southeast. Though she is well versed in all forms of dance she holds a special passion for tap (and her family!)
SEBASTIAN GOLDBERG
Sebastian is from Lexington, Massachusetts, where he studied tap, jazz, ballet and hip-hop at The Dance Inn. He has performed nationally including shows in California, New York City, and Chicago, and internationally on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. During the past holiday season he was featured in the new holiday hit A Grand Christmas and was seen on the GAC network in Christmas In The Black Hills. He's very excited to be touring the country with this amazing show and cast
CARISSA GRAVELLE
Carissa Gravelle grew up in Albany, New York. She began studying numerous styles of dance as a three-year-old and took multiple classes with various well known dancers and choreographers all the while training primarily with renowned tapper Anthony Morigerato at Eleanor’s School of Dance. She has performed in a multitude of venues both amateur and professional and is a national award winning dancer. In June of 2010, she graduated high school and immediately began her professional career. Carissa has been working with Nashville-based Matt Davenport Productions since 2011 and has danced in Tap: The Show at Hersheypark (Hershey, PA), A Grand Christmas at The Deadwood Mountain Grand (Deadwood, SD), and Christmas in the Black Hills which aired on the GAC Network. Carissa couldn’t be happier to be performing and touring with the extended version of Tap: The Show and is excited to see what is in store for the future!
CHRIS LARGE (Canada)
Chris Large hails from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. He is very excited to be touring with Tap - The Show. He studied at Oklahoma City University, and chose it specifically for their tap dance program. He was in the American Spirit Dance Company and toured Taiwan with them. Other credits include: Annie, Big River, and Stephen Foster: The Musical. He has danced with Royal Caribbean, and most recently with Matt Davenport Productions at Hersheypark, where he appeared in Rock the Jukebox and Tap - The Show. He would like to thank his mom for driving him EVERYWHERE for dance, and his wife, Lindsey, for her constant support and encouragement.
MARIA LOGAN
Maria Logan grew up dancing, singing and listening to music from the time she was born. Now a New Yorker, she called Nashville, TN home for most of her life and went to school at Belmont University where she received a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre . Favorite credits include Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde at the Westchester Broadway Theater, Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, as a featured performer in the Matt Davenport Productions tour Red Hot Hollywood, and now TAP – the Show. MICHAEL LOVE
Michael J. Love is from Rockville, Maryland and an alumnus of Emerson College. As a teen, he trained at Knock on Wood Tap Studio (Washington, DC) and since then has danced and performed with Tappers With Attitude, the Boston Tap Company, and Andrew Nemr’s NYC-based Cats Paying Dues PLUS. He has been working with Matt Davenport Productions since summer 2011 and is thrilled to be touring with TAP: The Show! Visit DancerMLove.com to learn more!
SARAH MANGOLD
Sarah is a proud alumna of Oklahoma City University where she graduated with a degree in dance performance. Since then she has been performing in and out of the country in venues that include Times Square, Bush Gardens and Hersheypark as well as with Carnival Cruise Lines. Along with performing, she has also choreographed for several prestigious ensembles including Forum Jazz Dance Theatre and Footprints Tap Ensemble. Sarah is grateful to be part of a profession in which she can share her joy and passion with others and hopes that comes through in this amazing tribute to the world of tap! As always, she would like to thank God for the many blessings in her life, especially her fiance’ Jon, and the constant support of her family and friends. She couldn’t do this without you!
AARON PARKHURST
Aaron spent over 20 years training at Eleanor’s School Of Dance in his hometown of Albany, NY and has won numerous awards at both the regional and national levels. He is currently on faculty at several dance schools throughout the Northeast- passing on his love for dance to members of younger generations. Aaron is also a Company Member of AM Dance Project, a company in New York City under the artistic direction of Anthony Morgeriato. In April 2012, he danced with the company in Capezio’s 125th anniversary show. Aaron has been performing with Matt Davenport Productions since 2010. He is very excited to be in the first national tour of TAP: The Show. “Hope you enjoy the show!”
KATHLEEN VOSS
Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, Kathleen Ann Voss, began training in all areas of dance at the Straub Performing Arts Center. Continuing her studies, Kathleen was able to study at Otterbein College her senior year of high school, where she took numerous master classes from one of her role models - Randy Skinner. Upon graduation from high school, Kathleen made the journey to New York City to study at Marymount Manhattan College. During her college years, Kathleen auditioned for and toured with the Radio City Rockettes, at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and with the Peggy Spina Tap Company in NYC. Kathleen has since been working with Matt Davenport Productions on several different productions and is an original cast member of TAP – The Show! She is thrilled to be able to tour the production and share it with audiences all over North America.
SOREN WOHLERS
Soren Wohlers is native to Denver, CO. but, grew up in Scottsbluff, NE., and attended Northwest Missouri State Univeristy. Soren has been a professional singer/songwriter/musician for the last 10 years in Nashville, TN, where he currently lives with his wife, Vanessa. As a pianist, drummer, vocalist and writer / arranger, he has performed and recorded with numerous artists including “AriSon Music”, “Charmed Life Music”, and the Dove nominated group “No Other Name”. Soren released his first solo album in 2006 titled “Basically”. He recently traveled the world as a Guest Entertainer on Princess Cruises and Regents Seven Seas Cruises. Other credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (Joseph), Big River (Huck), the national tour of American Big Band, Mrs. International Pageant headlining performer, International Barbershop Quartet Champion with “Millennium” and the original cast of Music City On Stage.
STEVEN MICHAEL BLACK
Steven Michael Black is a Memphis, Tennessee native. This is his first national tour as an electrician for TAP: The Show. After studying scenic design and scenic painting at Southeast Missouri State University he interned at the Tony Award winning Williamstown Theatre Festival. For four years he has been the Master Electrician for Hersheypark Entertainment, which is where he started working with the TAP cast and Matt Davenport Productions.
ANDREW MCCHAREN
Andrew, better known as Shakespeare, is a graduate of Douglas Anderson school of the arts class of 2006 where he was an instrumental music major studying percussion. He attended college at Florida State College at Jacksonville where he studied theater and entertainment technology. In 2009 he began working for the Hersheypark entertainment department as well as the University of North Florida as a stage technician and at Episcopal High School of Jacksonville as an assistant to the technical director. This is his first tour with the MDP family and is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to tour with such a stellar cast of performers. Peace and love to all of the important people that have helped me get to this point!

Matt has been producing, writing, directing, arranging and composing original material for award-winning productions for over twenty years and appeared as a performer and musician for decades before that! Matt’s versatile career includes writing and directing numerous national tours including On Broadway!, Birth of the Beat and American Rhapsody, the official production of the Gershwin Centennial Celebration. Matt has written and directed shows for many theme parks such as Fiesta Texas, Busch Gardens and many shows at Opryland USA including the number one rated show, Country Music USA. Matt also wrote, produced and directed American Jukebox, the longest running and top-rated show at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. At Hersheypark, Matt has written and directed The Milkmen, Wild Country, Ultimate Road Trip, Home Sweet Home For Christmas, A Rockin Music Box Christmas, The Boardwalkers and Rock The Jukebox! Matt has successfully written for theatres across the nation including The American Pride Show at the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach, SC, voted Best on the Beach and Country Tonite, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee voted Best Country Show in America by the CMAA. Matt also co-wrote and directed the multi-million dollar show Celebrate America!

SCOTT SEIDL - Creator, Writer, and Director
For Scott, TAP: The Show is literally a dream come true!
Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Mr. Seidl grew up in Kenosha, WI and for many years taught Theatre and Music at the University of Wisconsin and a Fine Arts High School. He now calls Nashville, TN home with Ashley and Callie!
He has appeared in Annie Get Your Gun (Frank Butler), Promises, Promises (Chuck Baxter), Bye Bye Birdie (Albert), Man Of La Mancha (Padre Perez), The Miser (Valere), Ten Little Indians (Fred), The Death and Life of Sneaky Fitch (Rackham), Forever Plaid (Smudge), National Tours with Matt Davenport Productions, Inc. American Rhapsody and Birth Of The Beat also Lee Greenwood’s Portrait of America, Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede, Showdown at the Silver Dollar (Bart), Listen To The River (Comodeus), Double Trouble (6 characters, Goodspeed Opera House). He hosted Nickelodeon’s Double Dare, Game Lab, U Pick Nick and TV Land’s Ultimate Fan Search.
As a Production Stage Manager and Assistant Director Scott has worked on international tours of Grease (starring Frankie Avalon), Fame The Musical, Smokey Joe’s Café, Three Mo’ Tenors, Bowfire, I Love New York and Video Games Live. He spent 2005 and 2006 as the Road Manager for Steven Tyler and the iconic rock band Aerosmith.
As a composer and arranger he currently has pieces being performed in shows all across the country and on tour. His song “Go Red” was used by the American Heart Association to promote the “Go Red for Women” campaign.
As a director his work includes productions of, 42 Street, Joseph…Dreamcoat, Anything Goes, Oklahoma, Dames At Sea, Noises Off, Into the Woods, Pippin, A Chorus Line, Annie, Godspell, Little Shop of Horrors, The Music Man, Pajama Game, Big River, Pirates Of Penzance, Hello Dolly and dozens of one act plays. As a Writer / Director for Nickelodeon Double Dare 2000, The Blues Clues Experience, Nicktoon’s Summer Jam, The Big Help and Game Lab 2000. As Writer / Director for Matt Davenport Productions, Inc TAP: The Show (IAPPA Winner), Monster Stomp, Vinyl Daze (IAPPA Finalist), Red Hot Hollywood (National Tour), A Grand Christmas, Ultimate Road Trip (IAAPA Finalist), Christmas In Chocolate Town, American Spirit (National Tour) and many others including the International Pageant system. He recently directed several scenes for the GAC Television Special Christmas In The Black Hills.
Mr. Seidl is working on 2 new plays and he is also a co-writer on country singer Ashley Chasteens’ new album.
MIKE MINERY - Co-Creator and Choreographer
Mike Minery, a New Jersey native, has established himself as one of the finest tap dancers and choreographers working today. Mike has been named the 1997 World Tap Champion and was a recipient of a Princess Grace Dance Fellowship Award. He toured the world as a soloist with the internationally acclaimed Manhattan Tap company, and has been featured at The Supper Club on Broadway, in the ’40s revue This Joint is Jumping. He has created his own tap company, Tapaholics, which debuted at the famed Duke Theatre in New York City and has performed in countless theatres and on television as a feature guest on The Tony Danza Show. Mike has been seen in Footprints Tap Jam 2000 in Chicago, an Equity Cares Fight AIDS production of Zoot Suit Strut, and was a soloist in the 2001 Tap Extravaganza at Town Hall Theater in Manhattan. He has choreographed pieces for Manhattan Tap, The New Jersey Tap Ensemble and The North Carolina Youth Ensemble, as well as numerous companies and studios around the world. Most recently, in addition to choreographing Tap: The Show, he is also the Director and Choreographer of SLIDE, a tap workshop and Off-Broadway show!
LAURIN FLOYD - Additional Choreography / Staff Choreographer
Laurin holds a BFA in dance performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her extensive experience in the entertainment industry includes singing and dancing on stage or in videos with major recording artists including Toby Keith, Brenda Lee, Dolly Parton, Steven Tyler, Debbie Gibson and Louise Mandrell among others. Laurin has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Superbowl MMXIV, the NFL Thanksgiving Half-time Show, The Grand Ole Opry, and The CMA Awards and The American Music Awards. As choreographer, Laurin has created original choreography for Busch Gardens, Hersheypark, Sea World, Silver Dollar City, Pam Tillis Christmas Show, Country Tonite in Pigeon Forge TN, and numerous national tours including Red Hot Hollywood, On Broadway, American Spirit and may others. She is currently also working on a new television pilot.
JEFFERY HALL - Art Direction and Scenic Design
Jeff has designed over eighty productions for theatres, national tours, and television. His credits include American Rhapsody, Country Tonite, Birth of the Beat, American Spirit and dozens more for Matt Davenport Productions as well as And The Winner Is and Way Out West for Opryland U.S.A. Jeff designed for the award- winning Rockin’ at Rockville High for Fiesta Texas, which was voted “Best Theme Park Show in America” in its debut season. He has also designed for the Baltimore Fishmarket, Busch Gardens and Hersheypark. Previously, Jeff served as Art Director for TNN and CMT television networks.
STEPHEN KUMMER - Arranging and Orchestration
Stephen Kummer (Arranger, Orchestrator) is thrilled to be part of the creative team for TAP: The Show, ON TOUR! Stephenʼs theater credits include: The Nutty Professor, Guys and Dolls (StudioTenn), Legally Blonde (Nat’l Tour), Cinderella (StudioTenn), Always, Patsy Cline (Ryman Aud.), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Nat’l tour), West Side Story (TN Rep.), Evita (TN Rep.), Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Natʼl tour), Little Shop of Horrors (Nat’l tour), American Rhapsody: The Music of George and Ira Gershwin (Nat’l tour), I Love You, You’re Perfect…(TN Rep.). This year Stephenʼs arrangements and orchestrations have been performed by The Kansas City Symphony, The Austin Symphony Orchestra, The Maryland Symphony, The Cleveland Pops Orchestra, The Houston Symphony Orchestra, The Palm Desert Symphony, The Nashville Symphony Orchestra, and many more. Other arranging clients include: Opryland Productions, Norwegian Cruise Line, Hersheypark, Carnival Cruise Line, Oceania Cruise Line and Sea World. Stephen lives in Nashville with his wife, Jennifer and their daughters, Elsa and Greta and a big dog.
TERRY WAYNE - Arranging and Orchestration
Mr. Wayne has a wide variety of experience in the entertainment field as a performer, musical arranger and conductor, show producer, director, composer and lyricist.
An accomplished pianist, Terry began his formal music training at the age of five in the Chicago area, and completed it with a vocal music education degree from the University of Kentucky. His career has taken him through the recording studios of Motown in Detroit to the runway in Atlantic City as a musical director, arranger and featured performer for Miss America Pageant preliminaries in Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. He has produced and directed shows for such well-known corporations as Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tupperware and Unocal Oil, and performed in all of the major entertainment cities around the United States.
Following six years of traveling the world as a musical director, pianist and performer for Holland America Line and Norwegian Cruise Line, Terry has lived in Branson, Missouri since 1996, working for various theatres and productions. While Terry’s Branson experiences began as a musical director and musician, his talents and capabilities as an arranger, writer and producer were soon recognized and he became an important member of the creative teams to conceptualize and write new shows and new material for a number of award winning productions.
In 2003, Terry was selected by the Welk Music Group to create and produce their new stage show in Branson, #1 HITS OF THE 60’S. Terry remained as producer and creative director for the 60’s Show through 2009 and has now returned to his first love as a musical arranger and orchestrator for a variety of shows and productions, including Matt Davenport Productions in Nashville.
CHRIS WERNER - Lighting and Video Design
Chris Werner is a Los Angeles-based lighting designer working primarily in entertainment and architecture. He is an adjunct faculty member and alumnus of the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University and a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.
Mr. Werner’s work has been seen all over the United States and within the Middle East and China. He was part of the world-class teams which created the “Dream Cube” for EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, China as well as the EXPO’s Opening Ceremony. Additionally, Chris’ resume includes projects for SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Hersheypark, Saks Fifth Avenue, China Central Television, and the LA Opera.
Chris’ projects have been covered in many industry publications such as Live Design, Lighting & Sound America, and Lighting Dimensions. He has been featured in Whirl Magazine as an innovator in large-scale holiday lighting displays and was recently a contributor to Table magazine, writing on the subject of residential lighting.
Prior to the start of Chris Werner Design, Mr. Werner was a lighting designer at Focus Lighting in New York City and more recently, he ran the Design and R&D Department for an LED lighting manufacturer. His direction led to the creation and production of cutting-edge lighting fixtures representing the most advanced technology in efficiency and sustainability as well as the development of an impressive collection of intellectual property.
Chris has presented seminars and lectures on responsible architectural lighting design and the potential use of LED technology at conferences in Guatemala, The United Arab Emirates, and the United States. He served on the round-table panel for California’s Green Tech Open, an annual competition providing venture capital to teams presenting innovative business plans which are based upon the development of environmentally-friendly technology and products.
Mr. Werner is thrilled to have been a part of the journey of TAP: The Show! from the beginning and looks forward to where it grows next!
VANESSA CALLAHAN WOHLERS - Costume Design
Vanessa Callahan Wohlers, is a native to Miami, FL but now calls Nashville, TN home. She has performed nationally in a variety of shows, tours and films. REGIONAL CREDITS include Roxie in Chicago, Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Peggy Sawyer in 42 Street, and Victoria in Cats. NATIONAL TOUR credits include On Broadway, Puttin’ On the Hitz, and American Jukebox with Matt Davenport Productions. TV credits include the History channel’s American Pickers, O’Charleys, Captain D’s, Honky Tonk Central and ABC’s new hit television show Nashville. When Vanessa hangs up her dancing shoes, she works as Matt Davenport Productions’ resident Costume Designer. Her designs can be seen anywhere from National Tours to numerous Theme Park shows across the US. Vanessa is thrilled to be a part of such an amazing production staff and amazing show like TAP!
GREG WOODRUFF - Producer
Greg Woodruff hails from the small central Utah city of Price. He got his start in the entertainment industry at a very young age performing in the Woodruff Family Show. Greg’s family toured the Western County and State Fair and Rodeo circuit entertaining crowds all over the West. Greg’s passion for entertaining outlasted his family’s, so he began to pursue a career in the recording industry. After recording his first album, he moved to Tennessee and started working professionally as an entertainer. With an Armed Forces Entertainment Tour, a cruise ship contract, and 7 years of touring under his belt, Greg decided to put his knowledge of the entertainment industry to work and made a move to the production and casting side of the business. He currently enjoys his position as the Auditions and Casting Coordinator. Greg also serves as the Producer for Holiday World’s entertainment package, Monster Stomp at SeaWorld San Antonio, A Grand Christmas at the Deadwood Mountain Grand in Deadwood, SD, and of course, Tap: The Show!
