FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Cambray Smith Event Manager, Project LEAD (513) 377-7416 cambraysmith@icloud.com Free Screening of Internationally Praised Documentary “The Human Experience” Screening Also Includes Question-and-Answer Session With the Director and a Cast Member, Along With a Volunteer Expo WYOMING, Ohio – September 30, 2013 – Wyoming nonprofits Project LEAD and Wyoming Youth Services are collaborating to offer members of the public a free screening of the award-winning documentary “The Human Experience.” This free, one-time-only viewing will also include a live question-and-answer session with Director Charles “Chuck” Kinnane and cast member Michael Campo, plus an onsite volunteer expo. “The Human Experience” follows urbanite brothers Jeffrey and Clifford Azize through New York City, Peru and Ghana as they explore human joy and suffering while ultimately finding kinship with even the most downtrodden. Donations will be accepted at the screening. Who: All members of the public, preferably ages 13 and older, due to some mature content What: Screening of “The Human Experience,” along with post-film question-and-answer (Q&A) session and a volunteer expo When: Saturday, November 2, 2013 4:30 p.m. – Doors open 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. – Showtime 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. – Q&A with cast and crew members 7:15 - 8:30 p.m. – Volunteer expo Where: Pendery Center Auditorium, Wyoming High School, 106 Pendery Avenue, Wyoming, OH 45215 (includes free parking) Why: To better understand human life around the world and ultimately inspire people of all ages, especially teens, to volunteer How: Auditorium seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, but overflow seating will be available This PG-13 documentary has earned more than 30 film festival honors, including the Audience Choice Award at the 2009 American Cinematic Experience at Tribeca, plus Best Documentary at the 2009 Atlanta International Documentary Film Festival. The film has also been endorsed by religious organizations in the United States and Europe. To date, “The Human Experience” has enjoyed more than 400 screenings in 15 countries across North America, South America, Europe and Australia. About Project LEAD Project LEAD (Leadership, Experience and Development) is an extracurricular club at Wyoming High School (WHS) that promotes leadership development in high school students by offering opportunities to participate in a variety of service activities. Project LEAD was started by a group of high school students in 1985. On average, about 150 WHS students participate in service activities sponsored by the club over the course of a school year. About Wyoming Youth Services Wyoming Youth Services is a nonprofit social service agency and represents a unique partnership between the City of Wyoming, Wyoming Board of Education, Hamilton County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, Junior Woman’s Club of Wyoming, Wyoming Parent School Association (PSA) and dedicated members of our community. Wyoming Youth Services organizes, collaborates, facilitates and leads this partnership to strengthen the community, its youth and their families.
